Hearing the random people's thoughts on the value highlights just how much the average person doesn't know about cars. I gave someone a lift a few years ago in my what was then a 21 year old Evo 6, and her first response was "wow it's so nice, is this a brand new car??"

As someone from the Top Gear generation watching this video made me a bit sad. Hearing you guys say “these types of cars will never exist again” really hit home. I grew up watching Top Gear thinking to myself “wow I can’t wait to be older and have a job so I can buy cool cars” I’m 27 with a mortgage now and saving for a new car is taking an ageeeee. I’m slowly realising I may never own a truly “cool” car like these 😢

This is by far my favourite channel to have spawned out of the ex Carthrottle crew. You guys just bought together 2 of the best sounding cars from the 00's-'10's. Honestly beautiful pieces of engineering. I'm a fan of both of these cars so this video was a right treat to watch. Keep up the content guys.

When top gear did something similar 13 years ago the cheapest car was a nissan pixo for £6995, its insane that the minimum price for a new car is twice that

With the E60 M5 I can't beleve you didn't mention the economy or lack of it. When I bought mine I went through 3 tanks of juice on the first day of ownership. 😂 bloody epic car though. loved it.

My old man had a brand new e60 M5 back in 2005. I can still remember the number plate of by heart. I think that might have something to do with the fact it started with BJ55 though 😂

Me and my other half own a Dacia Sandero Stepway, we got it new in 2021 and I’ll be honest, we drove the shit out of it. Did 5 trips from Romania to France and back and use it as our daily driver. it came with LPG from factory so we save some money on fuel. No issues with it so far, it took us to amazing places and I love it !!! In 3 years we put 100k km on the clock. I really hoped you’ll be gentle with the review 😂

I owned a Dacia Logan estate which had a 1 litre engine with a turbo in it stock, which gave it that "Pepp" you mentioned. Amazing fuel economy with loads of space, great for a family car doing local drives and very reliable, Dacia is a great brand they make the Duster plus the cheapest MPV, the Jogger, but .....if you want to go 2nd hand there are fantastic options for the price.

In 2012 I almost bought a 6-speed E60 M5. Instead I ended up with a W204 C63. This video tugs at my heart. Mine ended up with full bolt ons and ran 11s in the 1/4 mile on street tires. I miss that car every day

I usually buy somewhere in the middle. Not brand new with 75hp, or 20 yrs old with 500hp. 5-10 yr old, 350hp cars are a great compromise.

W204 is the BEST ever C63 ever produced, doesn't matter how much power does the hybrid setup produce, this is just the best. It is still my dream car, knowing that these might get scrapped by the time I can even find one and drive, let alone buy one.

I test drove a c63 years back. Absolutely stunning. The only non American muscle car I've seen rock on its suspension when reving. Also when the AMG driver was driving (on a public motorway in Scotland) I looked at the speedo, it was leaving 140. I asked "is that kph or mph" he casually replied mph. I sat back in my seat, it felt like 70. The fact you can buy a 60 grand supercar for 15 now it nuts!!
