@chillphil967

the headline win for him was dating a 29 yr old lol

@mollymo6229

lol he “regrets” 😂😂 lol we all know they think the same they just cannot change it. Thinking that the AI race delay is being of work from home is funny…we all heard about AI in the early 2010s while he was there. Apple and Google did nothing for a decade and are now very delayed

@projectndv

I can see both sides of this. In the Standford video, he was talking about "winning." If Google or any company for that matter wants to "win," and are in a race to win, they need to have all hands on deck. That would seem like a common sense idea to me.

Not all companies are in a race to "win." Many companies can afford to have their folks work remotely, which is what he has publicly said. However, if a company is competing with other companies, in a "winner take all" type of situation, it would be optimal to have your teams collaborating in person and working in close proximity.

I honestly think that was all he was referring to. Google lost their dominance in the race to "win" in their field. If you are playing a game to win, then you need to play like all the other players are playing or you probably won't win.

Schmit can totally support remote work for most work situations, while also supporting the idea that if you are in a race to win, that all players need to sacrifice and do what they have to in order to win. I don't believe he is double speaking. The public and media are just to polarizing these days.

One can procrastinate in any setting. These tech giants obviously has that problem given how many engineers they employ but don't need

@streettrialsandstuff

Is there any study backing up his beliefs? I would rather say the opposite, I often see my colleagues play table tennis, soccer table, PS5 and having cooler talks (I'm also guilty of the last one).
