I love how vulnerable Ally was about her voice. I too have struggled in my past with the voice God gave me. The unworthiness is straight from the enemy and it's his only way to attack our gifts. Every time I think about it, I think of the parable of the ten talents in Matthew 25: 14-30 and in Luke 19:11-26. Whatever we chose to do with the gift, even if it is small, we will be rewarded, but we have to use it! Don't hide it, because it pleases our Father when we use it! Even if it's just singing in our room with the door closed, we're singing to our Father and He sees it! I also think about how the gifts He gives us are so particular to ourselves. Jesus knows everything about us, and the gifts He's given us are exactly the ones we needed! I was given a voice because our Father knew it's what would make me who I am, and it's the same for each and every one of us.

13:56 is literal evidence of how the Holy Spirit moves. In that moment, Carew conveyed the words of God to Ally. And, one thing I've learned about the Holy Spirit is that He loves sending confirmation. Because it's the way Ally is immediately reminded of the lady who called her a little song bird when she was younger... I mean... Too good to not believe. All glory to our God 🥺💗

When Carew mentioned about songbirds while praying for Ally, it reminded me of a line in a song called "Dad Song" by Abbie Gamboa, and it says, "If you've heard a songbird sing melodies Or ever heard raindrops make symphonies, you'd know what your voice sounds like to me." And I literally relate so much to Ash in this episode. Ever since I've gained all the weight I lost last summer, I've felt so insecure and ugly and fat, and I've sensed that the Lord is reminding me how He sees me in His eyes that the inside matters so much more than the outside. "Let your true beauty come from your inner personality, not a focus on the external. For lasting beauty comes from a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is precious in God’s sight and is much more important than the outward adornment of elaborate hair, jewelry, and fine clothes." -- 1 Peter 3:3-4.
