@Ms.Laquita

Hello Everyone!

This video is really intended for those of you who already have some medical coding knowledge. I will have a shorter video coming up including more detail. Please review the Description Box for timestamps for each section of the video. The video is long, but if you're new to RA it's worth watching. There are so many nuances to RA coding that cannot fit in 1 video. We will work our way up to more difficulty. All seasoned coders once started medical coding with no knowledge and we grew in knowledge with study and practice. Please note that many employers provide an encoder to their employees to use in place or in addition to their book. I hardly use my book anymore due to having encoder. I must mention that when using the HCC model search for the codes w/o periods. For example: search for CAD this way "I2510" opposed to "I25.10". Furthermore, what would you like to see in future videos?

Thanks!

@JadenMaddox-hb8nz

I've been anticipating seeing a real time coding sesh for a while. Thank YOU!

Hello Ms. Laquita. I have been appreciating your videos. Congratulations on you auditor role. As time goes on I hope you can share more about the duties and how it differs from coding. I was doing well until question #10. I chose D. None of the above because I thought125.10 & E78.5 did not risk adjust for Medicare?

@anuradhaverma8341

Please give me your video links for CRC exam preparation. thank you.

@Ipcdeliverance

Thank you for this
Question

I took the CPC exam 3×2000 2005 2012 Mr. buy 5 to 2 points that discussed it put it down just start doing billing. I still have a strong desire to be colder. I’m gonna try it again in 2025. I was thinking more about doing CRC, first after looking at videos and study book and quizlet. How it flows that it would be a little bit less challenging what is your thoughts since you have both?
I’ve been doing medical coding for 10 years could never pass it after the third time they demoted me to Billing still kept my pay but I love coding. I’m a number person love numbers.

@BD-ws2xw

Do you know any companies or staff agencies for health care professionals that hire new medical coders. I have my RHIT and CCS-P credentials. Idk if I even should keep pursuing that. I have a job in healthcare but idk if I should continue to seek coding dream job 😢

@sunnie41

Great info! Side note: It's "causal" relationship, not "casual". The term "causal" is relating to or acting as a cause.
