Poverty is not directly the cause for low birth rates. It's hope, happiness and community a combination of the 3 is what builds couples, couples bring kids. Poverty is linked but not at 100 ratio.

We were discussing the depopulation crisis in 2005. I debated my history professor on the matter she was convinced reversing one child would solve it, my position was they would have needed to end the policy in the mid 1990s.
