@jessicxnt

They did the 1-3-1 in response to the shitty 1-3-1 trap the Lightning pulled way earlier in the season that confused fans, players, broadcasters and coaches alike.

@MrScullion44

Ref had no business whistling.

@emhow123

 The Flyers were not lazy or childish not to play the puck. Just like the defense strategy was Tampa's way, this was the Flyers. The main purpose of sports is to entertain and WIN. If this was all the Flyers had to do to gain the point, why should they have to work hard if Tampa wouldn't? It was thier own damn fault for not pressuring the Flyers. Awesome way for Peter Laviolette to get into the minds of the Bolts.

@x02ssmarox

Neither team was playing. There shouldn't be a penalty on the puck holder, if he wasn't being pursued by the defense.

@ReverendSubZero

The best troll in hockey.

@jiminy_cricket777

play shouldn't have been whistled dead.

@EPSchaedler

ref shouldn't blow it dead and they shouldn't make a new rule. if you dont go for the puck why should the team with the puck have to do anything

@Chungover

@alucardXX2009 Tampa uses it well? LOL. Check the standings my friend.

@CatieCass

I love Lavy's attitude. he's like, "So that's how you wanna play it? Fine. Hope you enjoy standing around the whole game!" GO FLYERS!

@Category5PHL

@alucardXX2009 Must be why Tampa is floundering below .500 right?

@coolhwhip49

Well this really does show just how well they play their positions.

@07SuperchargedSS

still more exciting than baseball.....

@gonzoswunks

that was the last time the defence did not play the puck. if you watched the rest of the game, the bolts attempted it again but the defence just skated around in their zone waiting for a forcheck they never got. therefore they kept the puck in motion.

@ar83es

Every system, every playbook has it´s weekness. Some years ago, it was "Big Ice" or "Torpedo Hockey" as it was called here in Sweden. As every one remembers we were eventually shredded to pieces when it was picked apart. It will happen with "The Trap" as well.

@LeanMrfuzzles

he stopped it completely and just stood there, it wasn't on his stick.

@JaysCyYoung1

No team that had Brad Richards, Vincent Lecvalier, and Martin St. Louis on their forward lines should ever have resorted to trapping. Ever.

@aboriginaloriginal33

Not a Philly fan but the statement they made was awesome.

@Lordoftheflies234

@Masta420 The Devils used to do this right?

@alucardXX2009

no, tamps doesn't always use this. Also, I meant that the 1-3-1 works well. Like when the Devils used it to win those cups. Tampa had sucess using it last year (once again- not all the time). This year...well yeah they are under .500 but not because of the 1-3. I wish everyone could read this comment so they know what I meant.

@vancouvercanucks321

4 in the V and the one with the puck protected in the middle and quickly get it onside
