Covid my arse. Somebody saw the price of a knock sensor and decided his labour is free π
Amazing that someone has taken time to take the dash to bits to hide the Engine management light, and not use that time to fix the issue π some strange people in this world π€£π€£
The lengths someone has gone to ! Shout out to the dealer who found that problem out prior to the wbac sale / return. Great vid, great characters π
What a star Bob is. Someone with loads of experience when it comes to fixing things like knock sensors (nearly mistyped that as kock sensors) and engine management lights. With a guest star appearance from Callum and the Snap On tablet (pro level Launch tablets are also available).
The clocks come out for a mileage blocker. Been to the moon and back that thing mateπ..... while theyve been in there taking the blocker out ready for sale, itd be rude not to cover up the engine management lightπ
Excellent video, its a sad state of affairs when you just know you will have to do a part 3 video. Its rarely that easy, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you this time.
Well done team! By the way, this video shows that you have the rare gift of making the mundane exciting!
great video with lots of humour, reckon they either could not get the knock sensor out, or the price of the knock sensor. The guy at BCA did well finding that the light was not on, on start up
Good old bob and another good video ππππππππππ
I have been so waiting for part 2 ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Always liked the channel but if you don't mind me saying you seem a lot more "into it" of late the content really seems fresher and you seem happier doing it. All the best
My daughter bought a Smart ForFour a few years back in which a previous owner (or more likely the dodgy small car dealer she acquired it from) had performed this trick. Done to hide a problem with the throttle valve actuator to save themselves the Β£200 plus fitting cost of a new one. Easily fooled because how many people actually check for an engine management light when the ignition first turns on when every other warning light momentarily comes on. Most would be checking to see if the lights go out and if nothing is left glowing assume all is well.
Great video bob is the man π
Awaiting part 3 π
Sadly NOX sensors are becoming a service part and many on ebay are just fake ,,along with LUK clutches and NGK spark plugs.
Love you guys banter π€£π
Knock knock. Who's there? Bill Bill who? Car Repair Bill ππ
Great pair of videos. One thought, when you first scanned it you foud loads of codes so you deleted the code to get a fresh look and found less codes it beg the question why WBAC's mechanic didn't clear the codes as you did! Had he done so you wouldn't have seen the historical codes. The car sounds really nice did the engine light come back on or behave it's self?
A part 3 would be good, but if you have sorted it out, excellent!
