Steve: the toronto maple leafs just lost a national hockey league game to a FORTYTWOYEAROLDZAMBONIDRIVER WHO WORKS FOR THEM

@op_joey

Worst part is that it was their own Zamboni driver šŸ˜…

@atpyro7920

Nothing quite like reminiscing on the time the Toronto Maple Leafs lost to a 42 year old Zamboni driver, who works for them. Always a good time.

@ILoveMisty1985

Also known as the night Steve Dangle's life changed forever

@slipperynodd578

Fun fact, the gear he was wearing Kasimir Kaskisuo's equipment, and he was wearing a Marlies T-shirt underneath šŸ˜‚

@matthewbilodeau1962

I was there. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to witness a historic game.

@Wra7hofAchilles

EBUG's are one of those aspects of Hockey that makes it's such an amazing sport and IMO the best of the big four.

@ExpatChef71

What a great story. Never gets old. I remember cheering myself silly for this game.

@jacob24-7

Amazing video love your content man

@nathanrodriguez8125

ā€œYou weren’t fond of just losing to backup goaltenders, but you lose to a 42-year old Zamboni driver…on your home ice…after both Hurricanes’ goalies were injured…and you employ said Zamboni driver.ā€ - UrinatingTree in his ā€œToronto Maple Leafs: A Half-Century of Failureā€ video (it’s just before the 36 minute mark in the video)

@Habsfan56744

Two and a half years later and we’re still talking about this…legendary

@sethking4311

I love Steve dangles reaction at the end šŸ˜‚

@FishyNHL20

It happened again with the canes January 15, 2024 I was at this game. His name is Yaniv Perets. The starter was Antti Raanta. He didnt havebthe best game so Perets got his debut

@RpGfreak901

And just when you thought that the Leafs couldn't possibly sink any lower....

@Fenrirmaster30

Fort Wayne Komets had their equipment manager have to take over for a shootout back in like the early 2000s or something. He had just ate a hot dog and 2 mountain dews before they put him in. He ended up stopping all 3 shots he faced and the Komets won

@SNW8191

Stories like this are why I love hockey. There's no sport like it.

@michaelb5119

I was at this fkn game. I remember after a long delay seeing ayres come out to the ice. I looked up his name to see if he had ever played a game before or anything. Then i looked to my dad and said "this is crazy hes the zamboni driver". I thought this was about to a joke of a game, turned out i was right but not how i thought. It was quite the train ride back home with the rest of the fans. Nice vid btw

@teamnovafrank6048

I dont how many time i replay the end of this video but its so hilariours to listen (from a canadien fan)

@MrWaifuTaker

I can hear Steve Dangle's cries of anguish.

@Hockeyfan304
