I'm glad you mentioned the "hose" line. My thoughts exactly - are there hoses in ancient Rome?! The sequel also decided to literally "jump the shark". I wonder who wrote the script and how in the heck Ridley Scott decided to direct the thing. Must be the paycheck.

Luckily, I didn't even make it to the shark scene, cause I walked out of the thater midway. Or to the scene where they apparently try to make us believe that 70 year old Brooklyn Grandpa Denzel could hold his own for more than half a second in a sword fight against a 25 year old, well-trained and battle-hardened gladiator in his prime.
