Quantum computing, coming to you in 10 years since 1999

@MicahBratt

I remember when they first were talking about the possibility of quantum computers, and look at where it is now. Well on their way!

Looking forward to quantum computer solving Arsenal trophies problem..

@neer_jsingh

Congratulations πŸŽ‰ keep it up.

@dantemss10

The media often glosses over this, but only a select few problems get an exponential speedup from quantum computers. Most hard problems (NP-complete problems) get a factor of O(sqrt(N)) speedup which is nice, sure, but it's unclear when quantum computers will be competitive with classical computers for those problems, if ever, since classical computers are so far ahead in performance right now. There are excellent math videos on Youtube now discussing this topic.

Of course, the main big thing that quantum computers do exponentially fast is break RSA encryption, which means governments everywhere are very interested in them so they can eavesdrop on internet communication, but this can be defeated by switching everyone to quantum-resistant encryption. When that happens I guess the hype might finally stop. It would make more sense IMO to hype this from the national security angle, or research applications (i.e. using quantum computers to simulate quantum systems).

Until we see results this is PR

@autotechandspecs

I expected to see a title like "All the ways Amazon's new Quantum computer is leaving Tesla in the dust"

@pinonXO

Very fun to see the quantum space heating up! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

@SwitchFBproductions

"Four people were just court ordered to explain their quantum computing process, and you guessed it. Their process is exactly the same as Alec Stewart's proprietary signal processing suite. Turns out they've been plotting on this mf for years. They just decided to replace him with a bunch of refrigerators and steal his process. Go figure. This is going to get interesting."

@CindySorenson-r4m

This is happening at a much more accelerated rate than any of these men were willing to admit on camera.

Honestly our government has no idea how people are suffering these days. I much feel sorry for the disabled people who don’t get the help they deserve
