Everyone is replaceable. The minute you think and act like you're not, is when the axe falls.

@ewanfraser

Don’t go online and tell everyone you got fired and you plan on doing the bare minimum for future employers. Bad idea

@bitcoinski

Now is the time to become debt-free and start investing into yourself. Life is a STRUGGLE. The American Dream is merely a carrot dangling from a stick. Stay vigilante!

@Anonymous-xq3cd

Once you land a job, dont buy useless crap for the first 5 years. Always work overtime up to the legal limit, become debt free, start beefing up that emergency fund, and start putting some little stream towards your 401k. Once you become debt free and build that solid emergency fund, no matter what happens next, you will have that certain degree of security and stability in your life. Always prioritize establishing that strong foundation of security and stability over buying and splurging on useless crap.

@lk3397

The biggest issue that causes this is our at-will law. Companies can fire you for any reason at any time or no reason at all. This law needs to change as it is not only a huge liability but most layoffs are tricky ways employers use to discriminate.

@InvestigatorEconomist

People, please stop telling people to go to this and that field, then you will be safe. Sure more is in demand than others, but first it takes money to go to trade schools, credible tech programs, and other high demand fields.

Some people have bills and situations that may hold them back. Jobs in general are not safe.

I know people who can’t find trade work, cybersecurity roles, AI roles, nursing, and etc for many reasons. Regardless of demand jobs are still part of a business and you are still competing.

Only way you are safe if you’re homesteading. You are the most flexible, but participation in this system will not make you safe plumbing or not.

Omg, to suddenly get laid off is a huge trauma. It happened to me 5 times during my career as a manufacturing manager in the aerospace industry. Constant upheaval in the form of leadership changes, mergers and acquisitions, closures, relocations within the industry has relegated these once coveted jobs to those of constant worry and nail biting. The very nature of work seems to be changing before our eyes.

I have been on both sides of the layoff process as both the deliverer and receiver of this traumatic news. Social media didn't exist for most of my career and we had no place to post videos of our experiences. I guess some good can come from knowing that you are not alone in your pain and grief. I found a new job every time, because I had to.

@dynamicfirearmsinc432

Everyone is getting laid off, those people I feel bad. In 2025 there going to be tons of lay off's and jobs are going to be hard to find.

@ericyister

It's only a job...and a job doesn't define you....get yourself back up & move forward.

@nightreader1264

NEVER walk out of a job until you have another one and have signed the papers.

@fleabag2mr.151

Do the minimum is why she was let go.

@mecharreziahapao2012

I was even shocked; they last that long. Because where I came from, its all contractual, 6 months all the time, You can be extended for another 6 months if the company likes you, but the idea is to give the others a chance.

@sarrjel

My heart goes out to them. I hope they can find a job soon.

@CobraMotivation-sy3qf

Who actually believes these people were "giving their all" to these companies before they were laid off?

@relaxationstation7374

You're strong and totally independent, you got this!

@simonemitchell1397

Keep pushing, ladies. The job market is horrendous. I got a new job. I am praying this doesn't happen to me. I'm going to try my hardest on this job.

@CobraMotivation-sy3qf

I don't see why people should get paid 100's of thousands of dollars a year to post videos of what they eat everyday. Most Tik Tok influencers bring very little value to the US economy. If Tik Tok gets shut down, then these influencers can learn an in demand skill that would actually benefit the American people.

@blasphemertheseventh

I am putting together our budget for FY26 (begins July 1 for our system) and there will tears in the second quarter. Buckle up folks.

@wesleycameron1034

Think they will start making cars with build in streaming lights and cameras.

@diehardeaglesfansince1994

i make about $30/hr here in philly and i work at least 2 OT shifts a week and my wife makes about $700/week and were left with damn near nothing after the bills are paid
