I can't listen to this without crying. I lost my husband to cancer nearly 7 years ago. We were married for 38 years and loved one another so deeply that it nearly killed me after he was gone. I had always hoped and beleived that we'd last until our 90s and would dance on our 60th wedding anniversary to this song. But it wasn't meant to be. I love him with all my heart and always will. I'll never find another love as true as ours.

Reminds me of the old days

@kathypeters6312

I am 65. I wished we could go back to the 70s,80s90s!

@lindarumfield8903

1:34Saw him in concert, no frills, no glam, no wardrobe changes, he DIDNT need to, he just stood and sang, and it was ENOUGH ❤❤❤

@Max_Tornero

Nobody's gonna talk about the fiddle? Geez that fiddle in the beggining got me goosebumps, that's real country music!

@cdr861532

I remember driving my dads truck after he passed and he had this in his cassette player (this was in 2009.....he had a 91 Ford F-150 Lariat, in IMMACULATE condition). I remember turning the truck on, and this song starting, and I just sat there crying. Every time I hear this song, it makes me tear up. I remember going to rodeos with my dad when I was 5-6.....he rode the bulls and I rode calves....my sister did barrel racing......Oh what I would give to have it to do all over again.

@logancurry1818

I've noticed in every single show he doesn't jump around or do anything extra he just sings and the crowd still goes nuts.

@alanparlby8530

This music never gets old! 😁

@waynegrayson5854

Never get tired of George Strait

@mcvet57103

I know this song is about rodeo, but as a retired OTR truck driver this song takes me back to those long days spent driving from one city to another, including Amarillo. The line "I aint got a dime, but what I got is mine. I aint rich but lord I'm free" fits how I felt. George is a country music legend, and deserves to go down in country music history as one of the greats like Hank Williams Jr and Sr.

@morrigan908

George Straight, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Randy Travis... The last generation of traditional country singers is aging and some of them are starting to leave us far too soon.

@nathanurick8320

This man will go down in history as the greatest and most respected country singer to ever take the stage.

@Reminiscent_Old_Country_Music

I don't know how it's even possible, but country music can make me kinda nostalgic for a world I've never been and never seen. It calms down and gives a feeling of infinity of time as if our life is not so short at all. It gives me meaning and desire to keep living through this difficult time

@garryhill8700

Saw him Vegas, no glam, flashing lights, walked out Hat,White Dress Shirt...played gave a house he paid to be built for a disabled veteran and was humble, pure and honest the whole time.

@cynthialong4514

Now this is real country music!!

@johnmullis5753

Love this song

@dougriske7818

Man, what a great ballad. That fiddle honestly gives me goosebumps.

@waynesilva3129

I never get tired of this song. What talent.

@laurat4041

absolutely love the fact that he and most country singers sound exactly in live concerts as the recordings. They don't need any special effects. They may extend the song or something but their voices are incredible. That violinist is also spectacular.

@emilyh.8704

One of if not the BEST country singer ever to record! And so proud he's from our great state of TEXAS! nice looking man too! 🙏❤️
