Education is the best weapon against war!
She is an amazing person and inspires me everyday. Congrats Malala!
when i heard she won, it brought tears to my eyes. way to go sister! this is the real face of Islam.
Humanity can still produce quality people like this brave young lady= hope for the people.
To anyone who tells a child that they cannot do something because they are week or stupid. Just remember we are humans too and if we want an education we can and WILL get one and nothing and no one can decide our own fates for us. We have the right to our own choices and freedom. Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi are the best choices for the 2014 peace prize as they are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in and fight for it even when they might think the rest of the world does not believe in them. You two have the support and encouragement of the entire child population. Remember we're voting for you!
I just finished reading her book. I can't believe I didn't hear about her before. I must've been living under a rock. She's a true inspiration to me. I also care so much for my education, it means everything to me and I also come from a culture where people believe girls are for marriage, cooking, and cleaning and not education. I dream of changing their mind set. I'm 18 and thank god I'm not married yet, and my parents aren't forcing me to. My dad lets me dream and is letting me make my dreams come true. He truly believes in me :) I graduate high school on June 5th, and I'll be attending university of Texas in Austin in the fall of 2015. Just finishing high school I've proved many people wrong. & when I do start attending university in 2015 I'll show them that I'm not just speaking empty words when I say "I'll make a difference one day." I hope the Malala campaign goes on forever and helps many kids around the world :) God bless Malala! :)
Amazing that she would take a bullet through the head just to protect others and stand for what she believes in. I don't know if I could do that.
She fights for knowledge. She fights for peace. She fights for everyone's rights. She fights for you. What an amazing woman.
Honestly she's inspired me to be a better person
I cant believe she's my age, she such an inspiration she deserves it !
People like her proves that humanity still exists!
She is such a great inspiration for everybody. People like her, help humanity progress. Congratulations Malala!
To all the people claiming that this girl doesn't deserve the award, and for those who wonder why she did get the award, it's really not that hard to figure out why she deserves such an honorary award. In places like Pakistan, women are treated as objects and not as human beings. Women are usually married by the age of 14-15 years old, and most women live there entire lives without having there own identities. Malala Yousafzai however, is one of the first young women to speak out against the normal life women in Pakistan are made to live. The reason she was shot is because she spoke out against dangerous groups of people and wanted to give women a voice of there own and encourage them to lead a life all there own, and not be treated as merely slaves. Even after getting shot in the face, and surviving, she still stood up for herself and many other women, knowing at any time she could be killed by the Taliban for standing up for her and women's rights and encourage other Pakistan women to find there identities and get an education. What she is doing and what she has done already is purely unspoken of in her country. So, for those that criticize her, let's see you go live in Pakistan for even one week and then come back and ask why she deserves this award. I can guarantee none of you would last even a day living in the same shoes as Pakistan women.
I admire this girl so much: her bravery, honesty and wisdom. Nobel prize couldn't be awarded to more deserving person!
She's such an Inspiration Respect..
can't believe that she is only 17.. I'm deeply inspired by her. What an amazing young woman
Nobody can deny that we live in an era of a religious war apart from the global financial crisis. Whatever are my beliefs, I have to admit that this girl deserves the Nobel. I really admire her. She has a strong and great personality, she is highly gifted. I wish many teenagers emulate her in the way she acts.
You did a very great job my dear sister. Your speech also encourage me as a woman to be stronger and hope.
