As you point out, unlike the other Case Study Houses (or most of them), which used lots of steel, this uses more conventional construction and more available materials. But with the CSH goals of being "cost effective and designed for people with an average income." The other CSHs might have been bolder but I see a direct line from this Walker house to Joseph Eichler.

This might be my favorite CSH so far. I like the added 3rd bedroom but only wish it was not accessible only through bedroom #2. I know this area well; I did the HVAC on a luxury condo for the Kohls family after they sold their stores not too far from this home's location.
