ppl dont realize it cost less if you dont constantly upgrade it. so dont be afraid to get newer parts
id also add the fact that u should probably get a newer motherboard supporting the latest cpus while getting a less powerful cpu for more room to upgrade in the future
I have two HX1000i. Both have served me well for years.
Definitely get a good power supply and you'll be set for a while before you have to upgrade it
I’ve had a PC for close to three years now and are into now properly upgrading it
I would say a power supply a lot higher than your parts need and a case that will fit more parts of bigger sizes in it.
The most current ram and high wattage psu. Everything else doesn’t necessarily matter all that much.
Only real advice is going am5 atm
The bots are getting out of hand, everyone should mass report them
Kinda surprised by what was recommended in the short. Here is what i recommend for future proofing: Buying mid to high tier components Having an upgrade path (not required if CPU is wicked enough) Having room to add more drives, like an NVME , or another NVME Having enough room for more ram (a motherboard with 2 versus 4 slots etc.) A highly rated PSU on the PSU cultist list that has headroom for expansion I built a i5-6600k and a gtx1070 rig brand new in 2016. I decided to upgrade at the start of 2024 because I had been saving up, and that 6600k was becoming a bottleneck. That gtx1070 is still a killer low/medium 1080p card. Buy good, upper end components now and you dont worry about needing to upgrade every couple of years.
My 1200watt power supply used to power a 580, but now it powers a 7900. 100% is the best investment out of any part I bought.
Built my PC last year with a Ryzen 9 7950x 64gb of ram 4tb of storage 1000w psu and a 7900xtx safe to say I won’t “need” to do upgrade anything time soon
Bots go Brrrrrr....
On point! Everyone talks future proofing, but it’s totally overrated
I'd say getting a cpu that's slightly better. I don't like swapping it, and the old one is often not usable in a second machine because of sockets. It's also a hard one to sell I feel.
Im rocking a 1300w psu beacuse i thought 4000series nvidia cards would be more power hungry😂 i was wrong now i have a 1300w with a 3080 5800x3d lol
i got a very basic set up and im gonna play all the games i missed on THEN ill worry about upgrading 😅
I get a cpu that performs well with the next tier GPU so If I had a 4060, I'd get a cpu that could pair with a 4070, so that I dont have to worry about having to upgrade my entire platform for a good while
Bro shud have js said am5
