@Cheetahbite58

This has gotta be the biggest trade since the tkachuk one

@MrJameslupien

You're given Necas far less credit then he deserves. Calling him just a solid above average player is flat out wrong.

@redheadchickens

Man, if only the Blackhawks had a first overall pick guy who was able to bring success to the franchise and be a leader for a long time to provide guidance to their young Bedard. #88

@mattmccarty4038

As a Colorado fan this trade is brutal. But I agree with the management decision not to pay mikko. With Cale’s contract extension soon, the avs would be wayyyyy too top heavy and I don’t know if we’d truly win a cup that way. We won’t know if this is a truly a good trade or not for at least a year I think.

@jp2045

Watched a pod with Taylor Hall, he said hawks did him a solid. He wanted to go to a cup team and they weren’t going to haggle. With Chicagos season is done, and canes have a great cap situation, one of very few suitors who have the cash and the Stanley cup potential.

@HughJorgan1

As noted in the vid Rantanen is outstanding in the playoffs. That makes him top 5 in the league imo.

@MattMerc-m4p

Necas is going to prove that he can

@45-CommentDeleted-47

Avs fan here. I'm more upset about the team lying about Gabe Landeskog. He's NOT playing ever again. No captain on the ice for 3 years now.

@baronlouie

If Rantanen gets that finish connection with Aho like the good ol days, I think management will be handing him a hearty and long contract. They've (GMET) shown that they will get what they want, and know how to do it.

@Randomnoob-x2e

By 2030 Chicago will be one of the best teams in the league by tanking for James hagens and already having great young players

@Cheetahbite58

Chicago 💀

@Jakey2426

As a cane fan, I love the trade but hate to see Neacs and Drury leave. But it has passed us now and I think the two "less important" guys that got traded are doing pretty well with their new teams. Drury already has two goals for Avs and Hall has a point for Carolina and has looked pretty good in his line. (Yes I know Mikko also has a point for canes). I'm not saying Mikko nor Neacs won't do good I'm just saying Drury and Hall have done a little better so far, and it's also really early.

@chrisc5290

Avs didn't want to put themselves in the same position as Toronto.

@jasonschrantz342

Avs didn't want to be the mapleleafs version 2.0

@cal8362

Necas will overtake Rantenen in points by seasons end. Playing with Mackinnon, Makar, and 6 more minutes per game is huge!

@bho30758

Any person that isn’t a casual knows hawks got a normal return “not fleeced”

@scrubbychief5642

He's gonna go to whoever gives him the most money

@TylerAven10

Hawks didn’t get much, but they didn’t give up much either. Taylor Hall is an average player who had his chances with Bedard and never took advantage of them. It’s arguable that the Hawks are a better team today than they were before the trade was made. The former MVP tag is doing a lot of public heavy lifting in this myth that the Hawks got fleeced.

@paulfreedom4613

It's easy to forget that Rantanen wouldn't be the same without MC Kinnon.

Draisaitle is definitely just as good without MC David.

Paying Rantanen the same as Draisaitle nah...

@zachgamingzone

Rantanen isn't draisaitl so the fact they were using drai as mikkos "market value" is why this deal fell through. Rantanens bullish agent is probably to blame for all of this. He genuinely is not worth more than 12m per season. He has lapses in his defensive play, he often goes stretches of game with low effort, and he can't play center.
