he's not really saying coding is bad. he’s challenging the idea that just being a good coder will make you wealthy. And that’s valid. A lot of people pour years into improving their technical skills but never think beyond the salary or job ladder. Meanwhile, people who build businesses, invest, or create content often unlock more leverage and scalability. His message is more about thinking bigger than just writing code.
The problem is that programmers are looking for jobs instead of becoming creatives with their skills.
Everyone: So which one is it - is AI going to replace all programmers in a year, or it's all just a bubble? TechLead: Yes
is it just me, or his consistent pessimism actually strangely makes me optimistic or motivated...and i'm not even completely disagreeing with him.
How can AI be both braindead and replace 70% of programmers? Ahh
Programming is not making you poor, everybody working as a programmer is making you poor 😅
We software engineers are to blame ourselves. Unlike other professions we created something that will replace us. Never seen a more tragic story.
We went from "as a millionaire" to "as a non-poor" pretty quick 😂 thanks for the updates and reality checks TL
Salesforce CEO-We are not hiring any engineers this year because of AI. Reality-Salesforce applied for 400+ H-1b visas in the first quarter of 2025 Meta-4000+ H-1b applications 2024, 1600+ so far in 2025. Both companies opened massive offices in India last year. They simply are not hiring Americans, because of the high value of the U.S. dollar compared to Yuan or Rupee. An American earning minimum wage pays for in taxes than Software engineers are paid in India, then factory workers are paid in China. Britain has a digital services tax (10%) we should consider the same. Also, we don't need anymore H-1b visas, it could be stopped tomorrow without any real change.
I still don't understand whether he's joking or if he really believes what he says
I have 2 decades of game development coding 3d modeling and other game dev skills and I'm flat broke 😭
Tell me you are balls deep in bitcoin without telling me you are 😂
I should have trained as a plumber😂
The Techlead is making more videos cause in reality, he's broke and needs YouTube income. keep it coming, very entertaining.
I'm in tech--unemployed for two years, but taking little contract jobs as they come--and I'm pivoting into healthcare. Health & defense are the only two industries that are financed by Federal Reserve dollars.
imagine you spend the last 10 years learning 100 frameworks
IT industry is finished. It takes a lot more from you than it gives
Jokes on you, I’m already broke so nothing can “make me poor”
TLDR: "Nobody really knows what's going on"
