"has a strong gasoline taste, probably because of the engine oil" E&F would be proud
For food-grade stuff, just use olive oil (or even canola oil) instead of grease. Works just as well, and doesn’t taste of gasoline!
Its currently 5:12am where im at and cant fall asleep so now im watching how to make benzaldehyde
Dr pepper is actually not a cherry soda. It has 23 different ingredients and was never ment to be cherry flavored.
This is from John Green video. "The thing you have to understand about Dr. Pepper Is that Dr. Pepper was invented by Charles Alderton who was a chemist. That’s essential to understanding what makes Dr. Pepper interesting. It’s the product of a chemist. And the chemist wasn’t trying to make a soda that tasted like lemon lime or like citrus. He was trying to make a soda that tasted like the soda fountain at the Waco pharmacy smelled. He wanted it in its essence to be artificial."
Now you just need to get denatonium benzoate, lemon, lime, antifreeze, raw fish gut, fermented piss, and you'll have everything you need to make authentic Mountain Dew.
Here in Texas, the home of Dr pepper, we do drink quite a lot of that. When I hear somebody mention "soda" or "pop", common generic names for soft drinks, I think of Dr pepper. Not Coke not Pepsi not Fanta.. Dr pepper.
It's Żabka chemistry time
For future experiments to mix cinnamon with water you need 2:1 cinnamon:boiling water. Ad water to cinnamon (not other way around), stir to make paste then ad rest of the water. For those who love hot chocolate: applies to raw cacao powder too (btw it's much more healthier and rich than heavily processed cocoa powder) 👍 Happy holidays 🎄
Dr Pepper is not "just a cherry soda" brother, it is actually a mix of a bunch of artificial fruit flavors, even has some vanilla in it i believe...i mean, the packaging says "23 flavors" after all 😉
"two kilos of cinnamon powder" Oh the challenge escalated
Dr Pepper isn't cherry flavored. This is an easy mistake to make, because it's flavor comes from a cousin of the cherry: The Plum. Specifically the dried version: Prune. It's carbonated prune juice. (Or was until they stopped using fruit)
as a kid we frequently had visitors from the US, Dr Pepper is what I understand as „the taste of freedom“ because Coke has been around for a long time. there are recipes for cooking with it out there, I hope you get to taste Coke Chicken at least once in your lifetime!
0:37 ok, dude, no. As a Texan I can guarantee your characterization of Dr. Pepper is far off.
Dr. Pepper is literally NOT cherry...
The easiest way to extract cinnamaldehyde from cinnamon bark is using ethanol. Getting cheap vodka is just fine for this.
Thanks!
Ask Polish Santa Klaus for a coffee grinder for christmas. That would solve most of the making chunks into a powder problems you experienced in the past. And just going from the taste, ground cinnamon has definitely less aroma than freshly ground stuff. Could account for some of that yield. Also: >no nasty chemicals please :( >dishsoap in first step >engine grease Bratan, I'm proud of you.
