First listen: “hmmm that’s alright” 25 listens later: “SAAAAAVE MEEEEE!”
"How many times have you listened to this?" "Yesss"
The actor for the protagonist did an amazing job, goddamn. He portrayed really well the anguish and disappointment you feel in yourself when you feel like a horrible person just for being human.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that actor?! Playing his role as serious as a car crash, I love it. It's actually one of my favourite music videos ever.
Currently battling cancer, 11 operations and 30 rounds of chemotherapy down and this song is giving me life right now.
Every new Ghost song feels like an old favorite the first time I hear it.
This is incredibly bittersweet for me. I love Ghost, discovered them because I randomly put the metal radio on spotify on shuffle while at work. Became obsessed with them, introduced them to my big sister and she was EVEN MORE OBSESSED THAN I WAS. She saved up $1,000 so we could get vip tickets and went to our first ritual in 2023. She passed away unexpectedly three months ago. She was so excited to see the new papa and for a new album to come out. Her favorite was spillways, and I played it for her in the hospital. I miss her so much and I wish she was watching this </3 edit: thank you everyone for the kind words. I know she would want me to try and live, even if everyything feels horrible right now. I got to sit with her for almost 4 days, talking to her, crying, playing her favorite music before her honor walk. Three more people get to live thanks to her being an organ donor. Maybe one day I'll get to talk to them and introduce them to the clergy 🥹
I see comments of close minded, gatekeeping metalheads that despise Ghost on social media. And I'm really sad for them, I'm a 48 years old metalhead, and I had that mindset when I was 13. Ghost has banger metal songs, and softer, even popish songs. But it doesn't change the fact that their music is awesome, especially live. So I hope they grow up and appreciate music even when it isn't strictly metal.
We’ve come so far. I remember when the “Special Ghoul” did all of the interviews for Ghost and people would fight in the comments over whether or not the Special Ghoul was Tobias. What a time that was.
Love the monk actor. Going from genuine quiet yet fearful introspection to the goofy dancing then to the pain in the exorcism was fantastic
Sometimes I think Taylor Swift fans are too obsessive, but we all collectively watched a billboard for the last few days. EDIT: I started a war EDIT 2: seriously calm down y'all. It was a JOKE. Don't take it too seriously
"I should have known, not to give in." From this day im 3 weeks sober, going strong!
1st time listening: Simply another Ghost banger. 2nd time listening: It really does go quite hard doesn't it. 3rd time listening: BLASPHEMY, HERESY
I don't know how Ghost manages to do that but often I caught myself thinking a track was just "okay" at first listening, to eventually get addicted to it. I can already feel Satanized is gonna be one of those.
Took me 3 listens but that chorus is tattooed in my brain now. The king of hooks pulls another from the void
My 7yr old woke up this morning singing, "I should have known, not to give in.." so she naturally asked to see the music video per usual when she has a song stuck in her head ❤
We will never forget you, Tacos al pastor 💜
What we just saw is a big surprise, a very traditional video style and a very clear return to a symbolic era for Ghost.
GHOST has a weird thing with music you give a new song one listen and think HMMMMM you give it a second listen and suddenly it’s clicks and it’s an amazing song and just keeps getting better each time you replay it 🎶
