the spear (with flurry jab upgrade) , is the best weapon in term of Damage per second, damage buffs, hitstun, and curses per seconds on opponents. The shield is not the best weapon it just has the "no damage" effect. But nice explanation video on why 64 heat players use the shield and nothing else 👍

Plus since physical attacks destroy projectiles, you have a second shield for free that can move independently of you. Was my fav shield and still is to this day

Not only that but it just has really good damage output. If instead of blocking you instead control the direction of the special while also getting a few hits in, it’s really easy to dodge attacks and get the 40% damage buff for having 2 effects inflicted (if you have the right boons) while maximizing damage output.

All these good ideas and I never thought of any of them. I'm just spamming my Flood Shot Cast build with several diamonds, or my Lucifer Rail special attack with the boon that allows you to fire special attack 3 times. Ordinary things. It almost doesn't matter what boons you get with the latter build, you're just constantly nuking everything.

What's funny is Ive always used Zeus's shield but i use it differently. I always set up with some damage build up (hang over/doom) on special. I throw it out then call it back and play tag with my shield and the enemies. The shield is it. I just run past enemies and let the shield start building insane amounts of damage while I stay moving.
