@ThioJoe

Also yep many have mentioned Chris Titus Tech made a video about this yesterday, I swear I didn't copy him, these videos take a few days to make ๐Ÿ˜….
โ€ข You should check out his video here though, he actually has a Windows debloat/customization tool he made himself that is much more advanced than my basic script: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UQZ5oQg8XA

(Also fun fact I met him at LTX 2023 this year ๐Ÿ‘)

@benway23

Man, you are so helpful to simpletons like me. Thank you for your work.

@xorgfx-y4l

your script is fine but i would seriously advise against using most third party "debloating" tools as the authors often have no idea what they're breaking

@CreativeSteve69

This is a really neat thing to learn about. Thanks for showing us this Joe.

@SevenDeMagnus

Cool, the Snipping Tool and Magnifier are a musts though.

God bless.

@Dooderinobandito

Probably because in other countries anti-trust laws actually mean something. But in the US? Nah load that brand new PC up with so much bloatware you will think it needs upgraded in after a month. Thanks predatory tech industry we just love it!

@์ƒํ™œ์—”์ง€๋‹ˆ์–ด

You can also install "N" version of Windows which comes without bloatware. Because it is so debloated already you will need to install Windows media pack (for app store, wireless displace connectivity, camera drivers etc) from the settings for normal functioning of Windows.

Edit: The N version of windows is from Microsoft themselves which is designed for the European market.

@stuz32

Much appreciated mate โค

@hanneshannes4648

6:53 that voicecrack xD

@OrigamiGuyII

Made my new PC yesterday, and this was really helpful. thanks for the clean screen :D

@chris6ix.

Thank you for this video and the script. I just used it to get rid of some bloat, however it seems to be unable to uninstall Edge, even in Admin mode. Fails with the error "0x80073CFA".
Also, just 2 tiny things you could have mentioned:
For some reason, when PowerShell is in Admin mode, you cannot drop files into it. You have to copy&paste the path.
The 2nd thing is that you should probably run the script when PowerShell is in FullScreen, since some of the package names are really long and if you use a small window they just get cut off with ".." at the end, which means you cannot copy the entire name.

@Alex-jk2qy

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, THIO JOE THANKS BUD. WHY WEREN'T YOU HERE A FEW WEEKS AGO

@Kaons

What would we do without "Get Help"?

@Woodzta

Since the bloatware seems to be account specific, I'm guessing if you've changed the region from World to e.g. UK or US that it will unfortunately appear on new accounts? Has anyone tested that?

@Outside998

I installed Windows 11 with the region set to Germany, because that's where I am from, and I also didn't have any of the bloatware you show in your video. In fact, the only stuff I do see on the start menu is the regular Windows applications like My PC, Explorer and Music, and stuff I installed myself, like Office.

@sevenfacedsin

And then the next major Windows update brings it all back.

@111111scarface111111

Just found this out, great tips, thanks!!

@Void_9876

I actually tested it in a vm it worked โคโคโคโคโค awsome

@nuldorvamoysenor2091

I like how Uruguay makes an unintentional cameo in this video. Uruguay nomรก!

@rationalbushcraft

I forget who but I recently saw a video (it might have been LTT) where they took an unbloated windows install and a bloated one on identically hardware and found there was literally no difference in performance between the two. They gave some reasons why it might be different results on different hardware but I have to wonder if the bloatware really effects the performance enough to bother.
