once something gets popular in india then it is bound to become oversaturated and in process getting destroyed by the masses.. it's like what happened with software engineering , data analysis , cyber security and now it's happening with the AI/ML and backend development.

@michaelpieters1844

Data Analyst used to be a scientific job, analyzing scientific data with statistical techniques, until the IT-sector stole the name and it got downgraded into using tools like Power Bi and Tableau.

@OscarJauregui-gy4uc

I did switch careers and landed a DA job. Its been a year already in the field and Id say tools are important yet no the most important thing. You can always check google or use AI to know how you will do X or Y in Excel, PBI, Python, etc but it matters more for you to know your field and the data you are working with. Yeah basic statistics will work most of the time but it also depends on the company you work for. Some will require some deep crazy science and others will only requiere for you to just be able to join some databases and make a nice dashboard. Id say it all in putting the time to learn, practise and keep trying until you land the job. Good luck to everybody.

RIP to all unemployed people who watched to tech influencers

@madhavpr

Statistics, statistics and more statistics!! Most people will probably disagree with me, but statistics and data interpretation are crucial even in the age of LLMs. Sure, you can use an LLM to analyze data for you but what do the results truly mean??

@gracechan3039

Data analyst has just become a very broad title, not that the jobs are going away. I see data analysts that are basically data scientists. I see business analysts that are basically low level data analysts with stakeholder management skills. And also data analysts that are data analysts.

@mieszanesztuki

That's the problem with the whole IT sector, big companies promised big cash for people with mediocre skill (eg. 3 month bootcamp) and everyone went along... not mentioning there's a finite amount of jobs. There's the domestic job market oversaturation, add foreign companies offering their services for half the price and you end up with current situation. Not to mention the overall tech bubble being really at it's max stretch point. It's really not AI - it's the other guy :)

@Coder-Banker

0:02 Dont listen to these content creator who feed on what topic is the hot topic, and currently declining job titles attract the most viewers.
Companies did not stop hiring them instead the job title are changed and the market has grown more competitive that is it.
Dont lose hope and stoop working

@anaestereo810

I did the Google data analytics...up to the advanced and then the biz intelligence. I have a decades long unrelated career path. Still, I am glad I did it; the mindset changed from gut decision making to data driven one. The results followed.

@beachflower2188

I am going to say this: the Google Certificate is so basic... it's pointless. I got a degree in analytics (crazy I know). But one thing you need to know
1) AI is not perfect yet and companies still need actual people
2)Not all companies are huge like Google or Apple. Smaller companies cannot afford sophisticated AI systems.....so they would rather hire data analysts.
3) Read books instead of doing 10 courses online.

Also this guy is so great! Facts for facts!

@Mzansi74

There is no easy way to make money; at least not morally.

My rule of thumb: Any fad will collapse.
The same happened with eCommerce. The same is happening with Cloud. And the same will happen with AI.

People pretend that the future will be different. The reality is that the future is a repetition if the past. Just go back far enough.

@abc_cba

I converted my csv files into txt and put that into Gemini.

It gave me better graphs, analytics with a little tuning than anyone else would.

@anshuldwivedi1919

In 2018-19 the hype around DA started being created with many universities started offering certification.... when COVID hit, almost everyone who lost their job or wanted a change in their career opted for these courses.
Suddenly, everyone became a Data Analyst even if they didn't have a single day of experience.
Post 2023, jobs dried up fast as all the funding got diverted to the new hype in the block -AI

@zahidhussainzd5576

Data Analytics is on its peak right now. According to LBS USA 35% increase by 2032 and also report from world economic form data roles are booming. I am hearing for 3 years that AI etc is going to take the jobs. It's all lie. There are thousands of jobs opening day By day. Where there is data there is need of roles. the way is changing. My kind suggestions to aspiring people, don't feel fear of losing jobs.

@oswaldomesias6569

Find your edge, find your own self... quite difficult

@altGoolam

I'm an accountant with 20 years of experience in multiple industries, from Mining to Retail and Manufacturing.

Data analytics is not a job per se. It's one skill set for a competent analyst who applies their learning to a specific operational practice.

Finance, Marketing, HR, Management Accounting, Economics, Manufacturing etc. These are the fields where data analysis is applied. You need to understand what you're doing your analysis for. If you can't meaningfully interpret the information you're with and provide actionable insights, then you are in reality very junior.

@Aldotronix

I honestly think data analysis can be highly automated by ai. DA it’s a workflow that ai can follow, tune, evaluate and retry in a cycle. Where a human has to plot many features, look at many stats, AI can do it in a second, with the proper domain knowledge it can surpass 90% of humans.

It’s sad because I love stats and ML, but at the same time, is there any desk job that can’t be funneled into an ai agent to iteratively self improve?
At this point just study what you like, nobody is safe.

@edudomingos

Congrats and thank you for the video, It was absolutely necessary.
