Great summary! It's apparent how passionate the people working on this game are. It has such interesting and nuanced characters, takes player choice seriously, and has created such an immersive experience that their love for this project really shows.

@Papaio_Oo

The worst Part of it is, that we probably need to wait another ten years, until something similar like BG 3 releases

@ttuanmu

Your Tav/Durge model is what I envision how Gortash would look like, if he were actually a "handsome young man," lol!

Its nice to play a game that really encourages you to play over and over, different difficulties, different characters, a zillion different class/multiclass/subclass and build combos - If you enjoyed the game, it would blow my mind if you didnt play it again AT LEAST once more. Larian nailed not just DnD but value for money, something thats been deliberately dwindling over the last the decade in gaming. The fact that you can co-op is the cherry on the top, which of course you would need to be true DnD of course, but its also done well.

@wolongzaicao

it could be better if it's a third person game. because you can't deny that you have to lower the camera angle and use mod to hide all ugly hud to make it look good

Authenticity of entertainment is by purpose and definition appealing escape. A break from reality/relevancy. To transport you somewhere else. That kind of unapologetic authentic prioritization is the core of entertainment and it is the core of bg3.

Simply put gamers making games for gamers . Which in this AAA multi billion dollar landscape… Apparently is not a priority most of these AAA so-called game companies have

200 hours! you Newb :)

I like the game but BG3 is too woke for my liking. There are too many gay couples. Most relationships that have any depth or flash are gay couples. Meanwhile I tried to romance Karlach but it never happened (end of Act 2 now). However, my character was hit on hard by Gale and Astarion. There was even a dialogue that basically ended romance for my character in the 2nd Act.

The main 6 characters, 3 men and 3 women. The Barbarian? Woman. The Fighter? Woman. The ones with the highest strength? The three women.

There is so far a single abusive relationship. Take a guess. Yeah, the man abused the woman and he became a harmless moron.

There are families, which makes sense, that is the only way you get kids in the world.

What is the best class in the game? Is it the burly fighters of the powerful wizards? Nope, the best class is the guy that plays the lute. That guy covers everything. The masterful chatter, lockpicker, caster, archer and fighter all in one poet. Who could have guessed.

Having said that, BG3 is still a masterpiece.

@JDA-88

Takes 200 hours to learn how to play the game! Not for me!
