Tried CS50, failed, tried The Odin Project then also failed. First watched Leon sometime in November 2022, then decided to really focus on his classes on December 15, 2022. Took me 6 months to finish classes 1 to 55+, 3 months of job hunting, and was hired as a junior software engineer last November 2023. Full-time WFH with provided MacBook/equipment. Thank you, Leon!
I am front-end software developer making 6 figures because of this guy. Noel was not only our web dev instructor, he also gave us job-finding tools and strategies that I have no idea where I would be (professionally) if it wasn't for it. I came across this video today and can't be more happy to see he is still providing the knowledge and mentorship in a fashion he only knows hows to ❤

Literally cried hearing your story I’m so glad you made it and I’m so grateful for you existing. Truly. I hope to be able to come back to you and make you proud when I get a job. Thank you truly Leon.
Coming back a year later to say thank you!! I love my new job as a web dev 💕💕💕💕 he’s the real deal and an incredible instructor!
I have watched the intro part with tears in my eyes. Leon, your kindness, compassion, protectiveness over the community, effort to be honest and realistic, lightheartedness and amazing teaching style have blown me away. I haven’t seen anyone with such a genuine intention and passion to help others in a long while. This is what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been wanting to get into software engineering for a while and but the courses and tutorials seemed all very daunting, but with the community support it seems possible. I don’t want to miss the window. I will be here for 30 weeks and do my best, and I’ll get a software engineering job. I appreciate this bootcamp so so much, thank you very much Leon. You are a life-saver.
I feel like it may be too late but I'm starting today. If anyone just got here too tap in 🎉❤
This is the first-ever youtube video in my entire life that I sat and watched from start to finish.
Its crazy watching this video after having it changed my life so much. I knew after the first class Id need to make a commitment and I did. I was working full-time and quitting wasn't an option I had my kid to take care of and bills to pay. It was extremely difficult but every waking moment was spent studying through this program. I was lucky enough to go through it live and in March 2023 I was given my first tech opportunity. I went from being a housekeeper to a software engineer and I'm already on job #2 with a company I love and benefits. I never spoke with Leon but I'll forever be grateful.
Ty for making this for those of us who can't afford it but are hungry for a better future. I'll gladly give you 30 weeks.
Starting my learning journey right before the new year, good luck to everyone!
Where my journey began. 100Devs changed my life, and if you follow what Leon says you will succeed. It’s going to feel hard, and overwhelming at times so you need to come to terms with that. But if you put in the time, and effort, there’s no doubt you can start a software developer career learning with 100Devs. It took me about a year to land my first developer job learning with the 100Devs community. It’s hard but not impossible. If you’re new, and unsure about this, please give at least 50 honest hours of effort towards this, and I assure you that you will be amazed at the progress you’ve made. Don’t quit!
I first heard about all of this on TikTok. My first impression is that, how can I father of two in-between jobs be able to partake in these classes and ultimately be able to code? I don't know the answer to that question, but I know that I like this guy Leon he is a genuine guy and I believe in him and his vision. To be honest, I am overwhelmed. It has taken me a week to get through this first class, but I'm in it for the long haul. I'm in it to finish the marathon. I am in it to sprint through that finish line. I will send a comment on each video to give myself and maybe Leon my 2 cents of this Journey. Thank you Leon.
2 February 2024, Day 1 watching the 100devs. I have to be accountable for myself 💪🙏
Day 1. I’ve worked in healthcare for the longest, but that was very taxing to my health, draining me mentally, emotionally, and physically. I get paid less now in the food industry but at least I have my peace of mind and have the time and energy to give this a go. Good luck newbies, we got this!
Just starting your classes. Your kindness doesn't go unnoticed! Thank you for helping me get out of poverty and provide for my family!
Today is my first day. I know it’s 1year ago. But need a change of career. And will do this for 100days even when it’s hard. Will comment when I get a job.❤
