I've only watched music scene stoned so it's actually cool to know what's going on lmao
My dad caught me watching this video and saw the picture in the background, he then came up behind me and yelled "HEEERRREEESSS JJJOOOOHHHHNNNNYYY!!"
We call that a joint
I had a dream one night. I was walking down a busy city sidewalk with blinders around my eyes and so was everyone else. No one could look up or down or side to side, make eye contact, see the sky, and no one even tried to interact with anyone. Just tunnel vision in one single direction. Next I was in a grassy patch of a forest in a really rural area when an elderly man came up behind me and took the blinders off of my face. He pointed out the sky and began showing me all the surrounding wildife and scenery. Then he said "If you had only made the effort to take those blinders off you wouldn't have missed all the good the earth and your life has to offer" The blinders are symbolic of the media, distracting ourselves from being involved with family, friends & lifes real purpose. The man removing my blinders was my oppertunity to have a personality and individuality, to enjoy life to its full potential and fulfill my purpose in the world. So folks! I think it's about time for us all to take those "blidners" off and smell the roses.
I remember my older brother showing me this back in 2011, this is one of the things that influenced me to pursue art as a career. great interpretation man
This music video is my favorite thing to watch after having myself an edible. This explanation is going to make it so much better! Nothing is better than deep weed thoughts.
This is my favorite YouTube channel by far. The depth, and substance in your videos is refreshing.
I found your interpretation quite interesting though I disagree on a couple points. 1) I feel the screen monster thing wants something to fulfill it's purpose, which is to be watched. It creates the human so that it can watch it. 2) The machine is upset at the animals since they aren't interested in what it has to offer and so it breaks them down to create something that would be interested in watching it. It taps into our desire to see new things and be entertained. That we are something developed from nature and this drive to seek out new experiences derives from that. 3) I never thought of it assimilating the other screens as wanting to eliminate potential rivals, but rather seeing a reflection of itself abandoned and left behind. It wants those screens to also be able to fulfill their purpose of entertaining and being watched. 4)I think the giant man/machine shows how media is unsustainable without someone to experience it and that it will collapse since there is nothing watching it. 5) I feel the deer/elk at the end is less that nature will go on, but rather how mankind has changed nature simply by it's being. Some might see it as a pessimistic note that we fucked nature and damaged it permenantly, but I see it in a more optimistic light, that we have left a legacy that will outlast us.
I love watching your videos dude you are by far in of my favorite creator's on YouTube.
If you really want to understand this video and really feel it, watch it while high. I don't smoke a lot, only 3 or 4 times a month. Before I've watched it high I have seen it like 6 times and I swear when I was watching it for the first time high, it got me to tears. You see things in the video that you haven't seen before, no joke. You get to understand every single bit of the video. However great work you have done here, love it.
Goddamn beautiful music video with a pretty black and white message, I still like it though. I hope everyone checks out the rest of blockhead's work, the albums The Music Scene and Downtown Science are instrumental hip hop perfected.
This is absolutely gorgeous Vinny. Definitely one of my favourites.
I couldn't have said it differently. Great job man 👍🏻 Im amazed at the analysis and thought pulled out of this video. It really blew me away the more I thought of this video throughout each and everyday.
WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT WE CALL THAT A JOINT
I love how he goes that much further to make absolutely sure that we know his opinions vs. the majority opinion brilliantly (and carefully) put. just as an opinion should be.
Great video dude ! I personally like to think that The Music Scene doesn't really need explanation, because it's psychedelism. I think that the video captures the essence of dreams (just like so many other trippy vids, such as Zodiac Shit by FlyLo), and dreams make no sense, and I just love to see them as fucking weird and awesome visuals. Nonetheless, your argument is interesting, keep up the good work mate !
Hope you’re doing well Vinny. I don’t know if you’re still traipsing around the internet somewhere but I rewatched llamas with hats and made me think of ya and now I’m falling down a rabbit hole of your content. A sweet hit of early YT nostalgia
Your the most genuine YouTuber that I know off ,You don't have any clickbaits and talk right to the point. Your most fit for your work i.e explaining youtube :)
Probably the best video I seen in a long time. All my life I thought that the only way to be happy is to "go with the flow", or "the mainstream are right", and at the same time though that I was wrong fot being by my self. Who are we becoming....
