I thought I was doing a good job with a manual toothbrush but I got an electric one (Oral-b) a few weeks ago and OH MY. I can feel my teeth are so much cleaner
recently bought a waterpik water flosser and it worked wonders. when i use it after eating i notice so many food particles washing away into the sink and after just a few uses my gums look quite healthy and pink. really recommend to anyone who struggles with gum issues and also to people with extremely crowded teeth that have a hard time pushing string floss in or fitting an interdental brush like i do.
Why don’t they teach us this when we visit the dentist?
I love Whitney why is she not blowing up she is so useful. She low k saved my teeth. Not right now obviously bc I’m battling gingivitis from skipping brushing my teeth. But still she is so helpful! ❤
Never mentioned mouthwash, interesting, especially since it was on the thumbnail.
Thank you for a phenomenal video for us teeth fanatics Whitney.
I am glad that you actually made a video about this. As I don’t think a lot of people realize how your gum health is important as well. Hi myself actually incorporate stimulating the gums into my brushing routine. I will typically put the brush in it more sensitive setting and gently glide the bristles along the gum line. Not only does it feel nice, but my gum is definitely feel nice and healthy afterward. Some of the more expensive brushes by Oral B, Actually have a gum massage mode. And I know that for some people with sensory issues, that would be extremely beneficial. Because it will give them the sensory input that they would want. In this case Oral sensory input. Which I do not think is talked about enough in my opinion.
I’m so happy I found your channel!
I got an Oral B IO toothbrush awhile ago and it’s amazing! It senses the pressure on my teeth so I’m not brushing too hard or too soft on my teeth and it guides and times me through the app. I’m going to invest in a water flosser next, I’ve been using interdental brushes and they’re great but I have really inflamed gums sometimes 😭
I have to say thank you for your content. I’ve always wanted to get braces but 2 years ago I was told I needed my wisdom teeth removed, plus an extraction, plus a root canal to proceed. I had severe anxiety about it and found your channel which helped me move forward. Now I’m finishing my Invisalign refinements and during my last cleaning my dentist told me to keep up whatever I’m doing because I have no build up. I floss after every meal, water pik, tongue scrape and electronic brush after each meal. I plan to keep up this routine post Invisalign. I’m finally happy with my smile and no longer fear the dentist. Thank you :) Ps I blame the movie little shop of horrors for my previous dental fear. 🤣🤣🤣
I really like the Listerine stick flosser. It works really well and the floss lasts for at least two uses as I sterilize with listerine after first use.
Hi Whitney, just had my 6 month check up and 6 monthly hygienist appointments this morning, past with flying colours😁. It's all thanks to your videos and advice and follow a brush, floss, waterpik routine all thanks to you. Hope your well😊 🦷
My dentest said my gum pockets reached 4-5mm some places - and it frightened me. Due to seeing my father having parantose. Im in the age of 35 and my dentest says i have fine teeth, but i should be more careful. So I started in august 2024 to include: - Time with electrick brush to 2-3min. Morning and evening. - Use Xylitol gum. (new routine) - Flossing every morning and every evening. (new routine) - Oil-Pulling 2 times a week (20min x 2). (new routine) - Mouth wash in the end of all teethbrush and flossing sessions. (new routine) - Stopped smoking. (Smoked for 5 years). (new routine) - Going to dentest every 4 months. (new routine - did it every 6 months before) Allready after 1 month my mouth changed alot! - Better sleep, better breath, no red gums and much more. And due to this video I just ordered a waterpic product - Interesting to see if it also helps.
well, i will tell you my own experience with gums(very bad blood running) while cleaning my teeth or when i wake up in the morning, so i had this problem for like 10 years and ive tried many toothpastes, i went to the dentist for cleaning the tartar from the teeth and nothing helped the blood to stop. I tried gum toothpaste and in 1 month the blood gone completely and now whenever i clean my teeth there is no blood. If anyone of you have this problem try gum toothpaste for like 1 month i hope i help atleast one person.
Have you done a video showing a full mouth brush with an oscillating toothbrush? if not, please can you make one!
