Home Assistant could help remove steps in your routine, like opening the blinds and turning the lights on as soon as you enter the studio. It would keep all controls inside one app instead of using one for each product Also, it could work even if you lose internet (and even if you briefly lose power and you use an UPS)

Your first mistake was using Nest. Google has basically run that brand into the ground due to negligence and there are much better options out there where you aren't getting extorted montly for an inferior service.

You should have used Home Assistant, its open source and has tons more integrations and allows for way more creativity. There is a bit more setup and you have to run it locally so you need a server like a raspberry pi or one of Home Assistants servers like Home Assistant green or yellow.

Amazing setup, well thought out and clean! First time I have heard someone else mention Deebot, we have been using Ecovac Deebot vacuums for years because of their price point, great products. Would love to do something like that someday myself, definitely inspirational, thanks for the video as always.
