Oh my that review brought back many wonderful memories. I sold my GL several years ago for medical reasons but from time to time I still have the urge to get back on one and ride. I rode all over western US, with and without other Goldwingers, and it was without a doubt a most wonderful machine. I never regretted buying it. I sometimes regret selling it.

@hawkslayers1

I meet you once and to be honest your as genuine in real life as you are on YouTube big fan of yours๐Ÿ˜Š

@eldesgraciado6690

The Gold Wings sold in the UK have the steering wheel on the wrong side.

@The_Bears_Tracks

That is the best reviewer Iโ€™ve ever seen do one. And at this point Iโ€™ve seen em all and watched em all into the 1000s.

@MotoGoato

There are some great reasons why Guy Martin owns, and loves riding, a Gold Wing ...... I think Chris just did a good job of explaining it all ๐Ÿ˜‰

@TangoDelta25

If you buy a 20 year old Goldwing, as I did, check the air filter. It's probably still on the original one as it's right in the middle of the bike and needs major surgery to get at it. Otherwise it's pretty easy to work on, and is a fantastic bike. Most of them have been 'babied' their entire lives, as they are generally owned by older guys who know a thing or two about comfort and reliability. After five previous bikes, it's the last bike I'll ever buy, and I'm not upset at that!

@davidhardstaff8110

Never ๐Ÿ˜…wanted one. Test drove one for a bit of fun. Now I own one, nuff said.

@Sfekke

I ride a lot of miles with my partner on the back, when I first got into motorcycling I always said the exact same "Just get a car!"
After going for a back and butt breaking journey through Norway on a Vulcan 650 with luggage and two people I decided to explore the big touring bike world as the group I ride with is affectionatly known as "The Goldwing group"..

Ended up with a GV1400 (Suzuki's weird version of a Goldwing) and putting down almost over 50.000km in about two years.
It's been to Austria, Slovenia, Norway (Up to Trondheim, time is limited.. sadly), Central France, etc.. it's a joy!
They're pig-heavy but you can use that weight to make them corner, unlike the 1800 though the frame is a wet noodle and you can't just adjust course on a whim.

For anyone on the fence/hating them, please.. keep on buying other bikes. It makes my GL1800/GL1500 a little cheaper when my garage is finally expanded :)

@mickkingston1450

I'm a sports bike rider, and a biker for 40 years. I bought a 2005 Goldwing. I toured 2 up with all the luggage and woman's stuff including a tank bag, from north east UK to Austria and back, I also toured all of Ireland. I had no aches or pains. 500 miles UK riding on my old hayabusa or my current zx14 I'm was crippled. I had the Goldwing 12 years, while touring.. fantastic touring bike. Look at vids on YouTube of how to pic up a Goldwing properly without effort, not the ball breaker way you did it lol.. good vlog though.

@ewancallison

Very fair review. I got a lovely white 2015 one with 11500 miles on it a couple of months ago and love it! Great engine roar on acceleration and the handling is surprisingly brilliant!

@shawnjoseph7522

I bought one..... it's everything I ever needed

@jamesrennie1227

I'm a sport bike fan but Goldwings will always have a place in my heart..

@patricksandeberg8184

Zack and Ari that host Revzilla today have made a video in the past where they are touring on bikes the size of the Honda goldwing and each have a motorcross on a trailer hooked to the touring bikes ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿพ.

@urbanstrencan

Goldwing the GOAT ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

@quinzalcoatl

I've been waiting for wheelies and skids the whole time

@simonthomas5367

I picked up an excellent example Pan European ST1100 a couple of years ago. Low kms and one very careful owner. These things are just incredibly refined. Smooth, comfy, surprisingly quick. Agile chassis. And way easier to get off the stand than my Himalayan 450! A huge amount of bike for the money.

@mikewoodward5765

Thanks for this review Iโ€™ve just gone and bought one๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‘

@markoaks7766

Thanks for this video! Like you, my friends and I used to tease Wings (and their owners) fairly regularly. But now that I'm pushing 60, the thought of ending a day's ride without feeling like I've been beaten with a stick is an extremely pleasant one. ๐Ÿ˜Š The next step is to take one for a ride and see for myself!

@finlayfarms

I love my Goldwing, yes it is heavy but the weight is low and there is plenty of power. The air cleaner is the only hassle with regards to servicing, Thanks for the video.

@SunyJim

I started on a 750 cruiser, and went to a 1500 cruiser. But i must say after going to a Goldwing i've done more long distance trips much further than i've ever thought I would travel on a bike. It's been reliable, comfortable, and my passenger absolutely approves as well. 2 week trip for 2 of us travelling eastern Canada 4000km. Done no problems
