Whoever called that his voice was going yesterday damn you're right get a medal

"WTF Nintendo... if I am not allowed to stick strong magnets onto my electronics without it breaking... what good is it for?" ~Magneto

@MaxNeumann-y6d

1941 when the first computer was invented: "Don't use strong magnets near electronic devices."
2025: "We have now discovered that we shouldn't put strong magnets near electronic devices."
Oh boy, i can't wait for 2040 when people will discover that you shouldn't put electronic devices under water.

I worked for Goodwill for many years. You be surprised by what people donate. One of the most valuable donations I process was a group of brand new pure silk handmade in Europe dresses that have the price tags still on them which range from 1,500 the 2,400. We ended up selling them in store for like $50 a piece.

XBOX: Everything is an xbox
XBOX: The new handheld we are designing is NOT an Xbox

@EvelynRivera-j1l

I wouldn’t mind seeing a video where a game key card is tested against increasingly stronger magnets to find out what the limit is.

@comicsmisexplained

If a magnet messes up the game card, also be aware of your MagSafe iPhone case. Can’t tell you how many cassettes I’ve messed up before I realized what caused it.

@NaturalBornHeel

Get well soon, Jon!!

@qbby4life812

It's probably a good idea to keep magnets away from all your game cards. Game key and regular cards.

@edurevelfood

I have to say thank you, watching your daily news at 2pm (Spain time) while having my after lunch coffee is one of the best routines in my day.

@ReshiramR52

Jon you should buy a giant magnet and do the magnet test with those key cards, as well as with regular cartridges just to see what happens

@Tomsonic41

I thought we'd seen the back of this when magnetic media disappeared. I was always careful to keep magnets away from audio cassettes and floppy disks in the 1980s, but you'd think 2025 game key cards would be using something that doesn't get wiped by magnets!

@deltamaxxhomevideo

Goodwill’s about to make more money from Concord than Sony (tax write-offs notwithstanding).

@HaikuOezu

Of course you need to keep them away from magnets, the magnetic field could push the tiny key inside the card off its axis and it won’t align with the lock inside your switch anymore

@lion123z

Would love to see you test the magnet on Key Cards to see how little or how much is required to cause damage

@alucard8433

Im calling it now, the game key card cartridges are gonna have a major issue in a few years and those cartridges will no longer work.

@ViciousAlienKlown

I was praising Nintendo for sticking to physical carts but the whole key card thing ruins that. An all digital future means you will own nothing and they don't care if you're happy or not. This is bad for gaming.

@2005tcooley

These game key cards are a joke to begin with. You would think they would make physical games better over the years, not worse. They should have made game cards with extra room on them that only the switch can access, so game cards could be updated with patches and still all be on the physical game cards rather than putting the dlc and patches on your switch itself.

@JaredStandley1

I can see the next YouTube videos coming out. "Can the Switch 2 Games SURVIVE... THE MAGNET TEST?! 😱"

@anime_approved

I could imagine when walmart puts the games in their security cases sometimes getting their magnet too close to the cartridge inside, used to work there and those magnets are very strong
