I love original black characters…all time favourite is Blade

@angealalexander

Instead of giving us original black characters they decided to go towards the laziest route, Race Swap...it's clear that to the woke mob, us black viewers who want original characters, our voice doesn't matter and it never will...

@sethusm4608

This video needs to be played everywhere till we get an answer

@JoeEnderman

They stopped making cool black characters. I miss the 90s era of films where they were too worried about whether the character was cool to remember what race they were.

@hope-cat4894

And then Disney weirdly almost got rid of an original black character, Cobra Bubbles. I have no idea what's going on in Hollywood. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@rave400v6

Remember, it's not our fault for choosing the cast. They chose it and blame all of us for it.

@AliDez613

Turning white characters black is basically a film company saying, “Black characters aren’t good enough to stand on their own.”

Look how popular Moana was. Why can’t they make a nice cartoon about African culture? I’d love to see that. Would be 100 times better than “Black Mermaid.”

@brijor6ff7

When I was 10 years old my favorite show was The Fresh Prince. I'm white and the race of those characters NEVER entered my mind. They were just funny characters that combined humor and great life lessons. Guaranteed kids today couldn't view it like that because these race baiters are hell bent on warping people's minds.

@kanikagaral7637

The insult they throw at Prof Tolkien. Its not racism he drew inspiration for his story from vikings who happened to be real people and they were white. He wrote that keeping world war and other atrocities in mind. He wrote something to get away from the horrors of real world at the time. He created something original and black people can too. They don't even have to create there r enough lore about black people and black culture that they can take inspiration from.

@mercycunningham2813

Do we need more black repersentation, yes. As a white person I say yes. I love learning about other people and their storys. Original storys that represent them, their history and culture and not someone elses hand me downs. People of any color deserve their own storys. Maybe it's even possible to tell new storys together.

@kingskyggenofc

I think that Isaac from Castlevania Netflix series might be the best form of race swapping in all pop culture in my opinion. It pretty much made him his own character compared to the other entries. Everything else though just seems to be the same character but with darker skin.

The same can be said for a traditional black character being remade as a white character for the same reasons.

Don't get me wrong, the actor for Ariel in the remake has a good voice for the role, but I do get people who just want more accurate casting for the characters, as well as the setting itself.

@gurururuwarararara8164

As a white, nordic, blonde man, I humbly accept the role as Nelson Mandela, after we finish the production of "I Have A Dream: A Martin Luther King story", starring myself as Dr. King. In theaters next spring!

@Just-Call-Me-Mike

Expecting racists to not be racists is like trying to persuade yourself unicorns exist lol. Racists be racists. Morgan Freeman explained it perfectly as to how to get rid of racism

@nisten006

They cannot be happy unless they are actively taking something from you

@KingOfHarlots86

TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS WAS NOT ANYTHING WE IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY ASKED FOR😮‍💨🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️. CREATING OUR OWN CHARACTERS AND TELLING OUR STORIES IS SOMETHING WE CHERISH. IT WASN'T THE BLACK COMMUNITY WHOM HAD ANY INPUT ON THIS NONSENSE 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

@vernondavis561

Casting black people into a historical white story role such as The Little Mermaid is cultural appropriation.

@pavitrprabhakar3981

As the Indian/Hindu Spider-Man, I must proudly say that the real Spider-Man will always be Peter Parker.

@ruaridhdalrymple3275

Should start casting white people as Rosa Parks and Gandhi if it’s truly ‘equal’

@cteal2018

Imagine that your life is so good, that you actually gave a F- about what color the little mermaid or an elf on screen is.
