Done todays surgery of my 5year son..God is good. Thanks to the modern science.
i just had an ultra sound today about a hernia near my vaginal area, i have had this hernia for around 8 years but only spoke about it a few weeks ago because i thought the area where the hernia was awkward to talk about. now i need to hear back from my doctor to schedule an appointment for surgery 😭😭
My dad had this done and passed away a few days later while still in hopkins care. I still can’t wrap my mind around this
I was supposed to have a hernia surgery seven years ago and I still have not. Too scared I’ve heard of internal bleeding and great infections from the mesh. Lots of people are allergic to it. It’s scary.! Now I just pray to God and believe in faith that I have received it that he has healed me and he will do it for me.! Amen Mark 11:24
Tips and information for recovering from Hernia Surgery if you live alone. These are things you should do before you leave the house to go for surgery. Cook and prepare a week’s worth of meals and snacks before surgery. Meals that will be easy to pass through your digestive system. Things like vegetable soup with beans, carrots, celery…, oatmeal with prunes, egg salad, chicken salad, steamed carrots and broccoli, asparagus… low fat and low grease type foods. Snacks like apples, oranges, ripe bananas, all kinds of fruits are good to keep things moving. Start taking a stool softener one or two days before surgery and then continue taking it when you get home. Place something next to your toilet you can grab onto to help you get on and off the toilet. Do the same for your bed and other areas you may sit. Have toothpaste, toothbrush, and floss out and ready to use. A glass of water to rinse your mouth out. You’re not going to be able to bend over to cup water in your hands. If you don’t already have a grabber, get one. Do not take your phone to surgery. Leave your phone at home on your nightstand and fully charged. Have on hand at least two ice packs that you can wrap a clean cloth around to put over the location of surgery and rotate them from the freezer as needed. This will keep the swelling down. Read your after surgery instructions and follow them. Listen to your doctor and follow his/her orders. Keep the wound area clean and clean it with an antibacterial soap every morning and again before you go to bed at night. The next day get up and walk but be careful. I walked outside around the cul-de-sac four times a day starting the day right after surgery. Twice in the morning, once in the afternoon, and then again in the evening. Have clean sheets on your bed. Wear loose fitting clothes. Have plenty of water and Gatorade on hand and before you leave for surgery place a few bottles on your nightstand, computer desk, kitchen table, kitchen counters, your television chair, and in your refrigerator. Drink plenty of liquids. At least four bottles per day. Take pain medication as needed but don’t over do it. All pain medications can cause constipation. A thermometer on your nightstand. A list of movies you may want to watch. I can’t sugarcoat this for you. The first three days are going to be tough so be ready. It gets easier on your fourth day. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Thats why sit ups and ab workouts are important to add more muscle to your core.
had 2 hernia surgeries as a 4 year old and i remember waking up during surgery and looking down and my groin area and seeing this part of body held open by clamps, docs say theres no way i could have seen that and if i moved during surgery they would have put me under again - maybe i was asleep but in a spiritual state (floating) vivid memories and i even remeber asking my mom why i would wake up during that and see that when i was 4

I had a CABG which is a triple BYPASS SURGERY. I was lucky to survive ( All PRAISE TO ALLAH SUBHANWATALLAH) I was on time in the hospital when I was having a pain in center of my chest. The doctor took ECG & found some complications. She told that I will have to be shifted to ICU for treating the blocks with medicines. Two days passed & quickly they took me to lab for angiogram. Later found multiple blocks of 80%, 90%, 90% & the last one was 100% completely blocked. Bypass surgery was the only way out & they did. 1 year has passed by, now that I am fine & can do all stuffs.
Just had mine, everyone went well, all thanks goes to Jehovah
Perfect! Straight and to the point!
Just had mine repaired today( inguinal hernia). Same day discharge currently no pain yet. Meds seems to be wearing off hope its not too bad as some you have pointed out for it to be.
If you catch it early enough, you can massage it back into place. I also had to do some backwards stretching over an air ball. You will have to repeat for some time. I could feel it popping back through the muscle tissue. Eventually it’ll stop happening if you also refrain from the activity that caused it for a while.
i have a groin hernia and my operation is tomorrow wish me luck lol first operation
Hi guys, it's 3 weeks since my hernia was repaired. It was a classic procedure with cut and a mesh. I only have small pains but I feel wierd the are where the mesh is. Like I'm having anesthesia there. It's just a matter of time until my body accepts the mesh? Or should I go to the doctor? No pain otherwise, my cut is closed and almost fully healed (on the outside) Everything looks normal.
My mother had undergone this operation 6 months back. She still can't move as freely as she did before the operation. She always says she can feel the mesh and she's always scared of it. Some neighbors who had undergone the same operation said, it does take a lot of time for your body to get adjusted to new environment but I don't think it should be this long. She's trying to avoid going to doctors because she's afraid of scanning and expenditures but I'm afraid for her. I don't know what to do... I'm from India by the way.
Had my hernia operation last Thursday, was a breeze. Very little after pain, more annoyed how limited lifting/moving is for 8 weeks.
