I still have this since the day I bought it. About 2 or 3 years ago I upgraded the RAM from 4 to 12GB RAM. It still runs pretty good up til this day.

@GMBROEKILLA23

How can I run mine on that I still have OS X Yosemite 😢

@colinmcfadyen2230

I picked up a 2011 with a 7200rpm 1TB drive and 8GB RAM running High Sierra. It was a little slow and I could hear the HDD grinding away. I just installed a 500GB Samsung SSD and the difference is incredible. So much quicker booting and opening and managing the apps I use (Outlook, Teams, browsers...). I have another 8GB RAM on the way too. Very impressed with this machine.

@ElectraZ1

This is my iMac. It overheats almost all the time and goes up to 70 degrees when browsing. Any idea how to fix this?

@Titanic19127

Of course. Got our’s new in 2011 and still works pretty great.

@Carambrolage4887

merci bg, j'avais justement besoin de conseil et d'un avis extérieure sur ce mac. Good video

@kikzb643

i still have the mid 2011 is it still advisable to do it this year 2024?

@davidbuck2343

Nice video! Thanks bro💯

Dose airplay work? Mine finds my Apple TVs but can't connect... Turing to find a solution 🤔

@izzykings7009

How much does the SSD mounting bracket and hard drive cost?

@peaceful2233

Please make a vid on 2017 macbook pro still good?

@julianrios755

Hello. great Video. have my imac 2011, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 and i wan to do this upgrade but the new version on open legacy is 2.2.0. wondering if i can still follow this steps on this video and still work. thank you for your help.

@trollingtime1234

I have the big 2011 27 inch iMac working now, and man it's still a fast computer even to this day. It held up soo well with such a beautiful 1440p display panel which looks flawless almost 12 years later. It's a fast computer with a new SSD and 16 GB of RAM. It can still keep up with web browsing and video playback and even some light video editing whenever I want to. Overall, performance on this is really good for the fact that it's a computer from 2011. It currently has an i5-2400, 512GB SSD, and 16 GB DDR3

The Optical Drive can be replaced with another ssd or hdd but mine still has the optical drive.

@1christianfaith

Nice tutorial, thanks for sharing, the SSD and more ram makes a big difference

@danielfrejus3456

Does it let you use the appstore?

@gnimelf613

@chucklos391

@tranphuc207

I have a 2011 27-inch iMac. If I upgrade to Monterey, will everything work fine, including Wi-Fi? I am still using the AMD GPU.I look forward to receiving your feedback.
