My main PC is a Windows 7 era tower, so yes I have an optical drive 🤣. Oh, and you have convinced me to use Arch btw. I have been using it for about a month now, so far so good!
Here is an important hint: For ventoy, NOT all distros work like for example TailsOS or some others
For lighter distros like alpine, you can install an actual alpine uefi system with a GUI and an installer and it will still not take 2GB
I may be a masochist, but I love arch, because it brings challenge, and a challenge brings good technical knowledge, a good learning experience, I don’t like using Linux casually, I like finding every tiny problem and fixing it
One of reasons why I use Arch (BTW). LiveUSB and arch-chroot. No need to reinstall whole system if just missing GRUB.
Ventoy is so convenient! You can try out multiple distros without having to flash it like on Balena Etcher.
IF you haven't Id suggest looking into some security OSs since you seem to enjoy linux alot, black arch is a good one as you seem to like arch
Oh my god. I wouldn't be able to install Gentoo without a liveusb option. So true.
Also make sure to sign the live usb in case you use secure boot so it can actually be boot
Thanks, for practical advices😂
Hey what is your keyboard it sounds so good
Even better. Install to said drive and set swap space to 100. The most that touches the base machines memory is evidence that it was loaded up, but never what was done. No need for 'demo mode'z
This guy looks exactly like someone who uses Linux, and I don't mean it in a bad way.
I was scared to install arch but I tried it on a vm first and after a while, my actual hardware.
But why shouldn't it be taken for granted?
Hi ❤
wow, computers are so clever these days!!
I use arch btw
Ventoy doesn't work on all pcs, in my old hp laptop from 2012 it can't detect ventoy as a bootable usb drive.
