Or… the daishinkan is happy that he can finally retire after an eternity of service and now has time for his actual kids. That would lead to him beeing Gokus greatest supporter and maybe his new master after Whis, even if he doesn’t want to retire he could go on vacation for a while.

I think a lot of people are overdoing this whole thing with Goku becoming a grand priest and or taking over a grand Zeno spot. Nobody takes into account that the grand priest has been around since the beginning of time and also people don’t seem to know/or realize that grand Zeno has another form that showcases true potential for grand Zeno to transform into his true form is when he absorbs his two guards.

I think Gokus needs to either be transformed into a god or be granted immortality by the dragon balls both of which would open up all kinds of interesting possibilities since he wouldn't die. His saiyan growth could be monstrous.

Yes. His playful nature and potential may eventually lead to being on the same footing as Xeno. His ability to view everyone as equals regardless of 'status' and/or birth, directly reflects the qualities necessary for one to advise/watch over/guide/care for/cultivate the progress and continuity of the verses one and all. Such detachment from the perceptions of hierarchy are exactly what one with such potential force would need. This is further proven by the erased zamasu as their prejudices and ideologies of hierarchy drove them to madness when achieving higher levels of 'power' they previously hadn't accessed. Their hatred and corrupt desire being the very force which drove them unto madness the whole way. This is why the saiyans are repeatedly warned to discipline themselves in their quest to grow stronger. Even Whis repeatedly checks on their state of mind over time as they repeat the question, "why continue to grow stronger? What is your purpose for doing so?" Goku's responses continuing to make Whis smile. Likely the reason Beerus could only go so far was due to a difference in this. Which may potentially be seen through Vegeta and his pursuits. Despite this, Vegeta also carries unseen potential. Reflected in part by his meditation and choice to pursue control over every portion of his own being/energy. I could be wrong though. I don't know the author personally so much of this is deductive reasoning used to speculate the potential future of them.

That would be a great end of the story goku becomes a grand priest or a simple angel to protect all universes and vegeta becomes god of destruction for his universe then we can have a lot more stories to tell from that alone
