I still feel kirana stores can work , as much as quick commerce stores tries to sell for less and discounts , the fees we gotta pay at the end are absurd at times , it's better to just visit a store and buy lol.

Kiran store have shut shop due to GST. Many ran on a model of paying no tax. But with GST they are forced to get into the tax regime. Making it unprofitable for them to survive.

Bro this video is completely off. Blinkit is not selling anything cheap and as buyers we know it. We’re overpaying everytime but for convenience thats it. I dont want to walk in the heat, dust even 10 mins when I can get something in the same time at 30 rs more…

There will always be a replacement of jobs and businesses when people fail to adapt to market changes and evolving consumer behavior!

I feel, comparison should be made based on previous years as well, like how many stores were shut down in 23’, 22’ and 19’, 18’ (didnt considering the Covid wave) and then their can be apples to apples comparison

Its good for kirana stores… Bcoz after sometime Blinkit Zepto instamart itself would be killed.. I buy from them only when huge discount is available otherwise why i would ditch my kirana stores who serves me during emergency

All points agreed but we need to keep in mind firstly if the customer is getting the same product at cheaper price from anywhere the customer will obviously choose the cheapest... Secondly the audacity of the kirana shopkeepers is also a major reason for people switching to E-Commerce websites

Blinkit or quick commerce do not sell on discount. They sell at a premium. The USP is 10 mins home delivery. Vishal megamart and Reliance are the discount sellers

If you want to buy stuff for less than hundred rupees neighborhood kirana stores is the better option and there is the added bonus of tobacco products which are not available in Blinkit
