man I love small f.p.v. quads and love it even more when Nick Burns reviews them
Wow those motors are thin at 2.5mm tall, looks really cool! The Zeus boards are very nice, this Zeus 5 AIO is also awesome with the wifi module. 72g seems like a pretty awesome weight for 1s on a quad of this 3in class as well as the 86g on 2s! The wiring schematic/diagram is very nice and well laid out for the AIO board and receiver setup. This quad definitely looks like it has a nice amount of power for both smaller and bigger areas for some more snappy movements. I saw the HGLRC earbuds a couple of days ago, they seem pretty nice for the price. Great flying and thanks for the overview!
Pretty amazing flying, Nick! 😃 Seems like a fantastic little quad! Great review!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
The happy model larva x was one of my first drones and wow it still hanging in there with the new guys i have to replace the board over a frsky update failsafe.
It is really great to see all of these reviewed by you Nick. We now have a very good idea of what each one is like and can make a pretty good call as to which one (6s, 4s, 2s) fits us best. There is alot of value in all of your reviews. Very appreciated 👍👍👍
I like the variety of kv options.....
This looks like an awesome little ripper! Best micro review channel hands down!
Great looking backyard flier!
15:37 min - defo do this !!! I ripped the plus side off my selfbuild 1S 3" - Moblite FC.. (Conductor tracks are only on one side "always") The solder pad was through the board and I put solder on both sides.. But didn't helped.. Now I put a "hard / stiff" wire through all AIO FC's ... I was able to save the moblite FC: soldered onto the current sensor (full throttle for 30 sek) worked YAAY :) Always secure the power cables !! 👍🏼 (Zip tie + heat shrink the wires to not kill the silicone wire on the zip tie point)
I think if your new the 2s version on 1s is best, I started with a 4s 5 inch quad, but started on 2s, and moved up, lol. I didn't think I would ever get to 4s.
Hi Nick . I fly Whoops and 3 inch and do a lot of flying in my yard . Do you ever get tired of flying in your yard ? It seems to me the hardest thing is to invent new things to do in my yard .I also love to fly with others , I love the comradery.
I have the 6S version, and I love it! It is amazing, the closest of simulator sensation; in other words, it behaves like a drone in a game! Superb. One important point, with 6S my flight time is around 9 minutes! I love it!
Time to retire XM+ and give ExpressLRS receivers with ceramic antennas a chance 🙂 Also - the new, yellow-label Gnb batteries are phenomenal - I have tried so far 600mAh 1s, 2s and 380mAh 2s and they rip!
Awesome videos. You are a fountain of information.
Thinking of throwing a kit together. This drone or the freestyle 2? Might go with the freestyle because i can throw a Insta 360 go on it and vlog my growing experiences. But this drone looks faster even though they're both running 2s.
i love 2s. it's enough power for me living in the city. 1s is even better
Looks like antenna could go under the arm rather than over would be protected escialy if the active element is out further.
Are you gonna try the 3s version? Also there are two different 4s versions the 1404 you already reviewed and the 1303.5 4500kv
Receiver and antenna placement is a mess on these small quads. The crossfire antenna on my Crux3 was dangling around waiting for props to cut it down. In my Beta85x with crossfire, even the receiver itself was dangling around. It was neither tucked away between the frame and FC nor was it taped down somewhere. I had to open it up, tape down the RX and then tape the antenna to the frame itself ... No wonder these things break faster than the quad itself.
