I picked up a U.S.A made one I picked up a long time ago. 90s. I often carry it. Handy bugger for sure. Great user for sure. Has the original snap chain.

Cool story! I think all OG (OldGuys) πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ had one of those at some point in time. Mine always seemed to get rusty when I left them in my tackle box! Thanks for the channel mention. I’ll keep my eyes open for another one of those BSA dining setsπŸ‘πŸ»

Thanks for bringing back memories
My dad owned quite a few of these
Any of these were just floating around the house.. and on my father's workbench. At 6 years old I acquired one of these that was laying around the house.. my parents didn't have a problem with this.. in fact I had a tiny 3in sheath knife my dad gave me at 6 years old.. that he won at a carnival. It was one of those souvenir type native American mini Bowie knives... Had a leather sheath with a design out of mini beads on it and leather Fringe. Designed to look like an American Indian knife.. it was made in Japan in this carbon steel blade was of fantastic quality
But I wanted something I could put in my pocket like a little jackknife.. so I just took one of the can opener nail file type knives like this for my own to keep in my pocket... I STILL HAVE ONE TO THIS DAY I FOUND IN MY DAD'S OLD TOOLBOX.!
I believe the company who manufacture it its name might have been"TRIM TRIO" the same company that manufactured nail clippers back then.. again thanks for the memories

Way back when you got little pen knives at gift shops in tourist places and I used to occasionally get one of those when I was a kid. Won an American made Old Timer a little while ago and the scales have a different feel to them than the Chinese made ones, it has a sort of a soapy, resiny texture to it. Can remember this distinctly from when I was pretty young but not the knife. Must have had an Old Timer at some stage too. I'd have been pretty happy with your first knife when I was a kid but my remembering it now is not guaranteed!!!!

That was my first knife as well when I was 8 years old. ATB Sam Adler from Vietnam
