Amazing video my friend. Glad we got to hang out during our flight back home. Keep up the great work
Hi Dylan. Your videos have been very inspirational, Thank you. I just have one question I am hoping you can help me with. I really liked your video about how your Mini 3 makes you $2500 a month. I already have all the equipment but I am having trouble finding a download for Luma AI that I can install on my MacBook Pro. When I use the link from the video it seems to be for iphone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Funny thing about this videos and many others is how they look so easy to find work and clients….different from my reality here in Australia. I have the knowledge and a fair bit of equipment, but I cannot find work and clients like that. Over here my experience is that all land surveyors contractors firms are paying for training their own employees to do these type of jobs! Moreover to be able to do such a work especially with VTOL’s are more regulations than any other drones, we need to have a few licenses to able to do that. And also so pay a good chunk of money to the government to be able to do those types of jobs, with a few restrictions on! Funny thing is all videos that I watch from the YouTubers who are call the drone experts, looks like they are doing very well in regard to make money, looks like easy money for them. Sometimes I am wondering if this is real or they are just sellers for these drones companies, both the drones and softwares companies!!!??
Nice video, lots of great information. There isn't much out there on how to use Qbase or the Trinity drones. I would love to see more on the post processing, thank you for sharing.
Have you seen the cl-84 videos? It's an excellent tilt-wing design that makes very good use of the wings in the vertical mode, allowing excellent yaw/rotation control of the platform, and the tilted wing provides good STOL performance, for applications (many) that have enough room for STOL operation, saving some degree of battery life...anyway, the winged drone allows for much longer loitering times, with quieter, more energy-efficient loitering in motion, but with quite quick transition to fully vertical operation.
The UAS department i manage is currently in the research phase at replacing our Alta Xs with a VTOL system, having projects get bigger and bigger and carrying a LiDAR system thats 4kg its the only logical solution, quads still have their place in the market but having to go out and do a 2000 acre site its just not a good business plan to stay doing the same thing with a quad vs fixed wing
Bro really said that drones are dead 😹 drones are just in the beginning
VTOLs started catching on about 10 years ago, ours carry LiDAR and cover a deal of a way for surveys
Is landing and take off the only advantage of v t o l. Is a fixed wing good for getting data. Or is the weather too much of a factor.
Simply amazing content that i can share with some of my clients! Thanks Dykan again for being such an awesome content creator for the drone industry!
What is the cost of the Quantum drone + Lidar sensor kit?
What kind of computer specifications do you use for your photogrammetry ? I’m just wondering because I’m not sure what i would need when buying a computer.
One hour and a half? What brand of battery does it use, Amprius?
Interesting video - I wonder if VTOLs will ever reach favor outside of the photogrammetry market? Quick note, if you put a polarizing filter on your studio camera, it might cut the reflection of your keylight off of the logo on the green wall.
in wich country are you? i´m interested by your drone course
Still not allowed to fly beyond line of sight
We just got this drone a month ago. It perfect for wide open areas but has downfalls in highly urban spots. Amazing system but my only problem would be having to setup a GCS and the xbox controller.
Great Video as always. How much did that project cost the client?
Which LIDAR sensor did you use and how easy was it to mount that payload in the Trinity? I think you missed an opportunity to call out the endurance of the aircraft in the mission planning phase. I caught that the flight plan was almost 2 hours for the photo capture but was going to be able to finish on just one battery with 8% charge remaining. That much area without having to swap batteries is pretty amazing!
