It actually uses less (or another pager of your choice). It's definitely nice that they activate the pager for you, but it's not their own paging code. Nothing wrong with that they use less or whatever at all, it's just that the video made it seem like they have their own pager

Imo cat is a practically useless command in Unix. I usually reach for other tools instead such as less or grep. If you really care about syntax highlighting then using your editor will be just as convenient.
