If you had to rank your top 3 TV brands right now, which ones would make the cut and why? Let’s see who comes out on top!

@MrOmega52

This "ask" show is one of my absolute favorites on YouTube. You give us such great information in a simple to understand show for us non-technical watchers.

@EnriqueHernandez-wv7sb

My Panasonic TV just died one month ago, it lasted 28 years.

@nickcardwell

Just picked up a new Panasonic here in America. Love it so far. Glad to see them back in the US.

@stuartjames6302

I just bought the Sony a95l this week, the HDR is mind-blowing!

@LeezahB

This was fun and pretty informative! I learned some interesting TV history.

@JosephHauger

I loved Sanyo TVs — all the way back to my first color TV purchase, a 19-inch CRT. I had a 27-inch flat screen CRT that was fantastic for gaming, and my brother's 42-inch LCD gave up the ghost just last year. About 15 years of faithful service.

@MarbsMusic

We had an LG Plasma that lasted 14 years without a single issue... the 800 hrz was difficult to give up but as we wanted something larger we got a Sony OLED and simply love it! I remember getting the plasma in 2008 and being told it wouldn't last or would eventually burn out... it's still working out on the porch 18 years later. I recently picked up a mini-led Fire TV for our gaming room and while it's definitely not the Sony OLED the picture is fantastic for the price (on sale) and the sound is much better than expected!

@adrianwiuk-72

Just bought my 3rd TV in 20 years, and it's another Philips Ambilight model. I know you can retrofit lights to the back of your TV, but having them built in with a great TV to boot just makes sense.

@jjnewbold

Just ordered my LG C4 to replace my CX, very excited stepping up from 65 to 77

@HankNooby

I still own Toshiba ZL1 Hi-end TV way ahead of it's time. Crazy how times have changed

@shanedigby

Sony, Panasonic and Samsung are my 3 favorites. I've had Sony TVs for the past 28 years and they have all been great.

@Chazz75

I'm looking at this on my 17y/o 42 inches Sharp Aquos in my bedroom.
Still working fine as the first day I had it.

@Slick1020

Been using Sony since 2002. Sony Trinitron (2002),  XBR75X910C (2016), XR83A90J (2022).

All 3 tvs still work. Two of the three tvs have moved all over the US with me and were able to withstand the rigorous moving in the Air Force.

@harold.l.hunterjr.4393

I have the newest Hisense, and i do enjoy it very much, but i just picked us the Samsung S95D a few days ago and we love it, we stream just about everything like most of the planet lol and gaming on the S95D is outstanding. I hope everyone as a blessed and safe day 🙏

@Barbarapape

Since i repair TV's for a living and have been in the trade since the early 70's here is my
experience of the various brands
If you are looking to buy a new one today my advice is buy one from a retailer that includes
a 5 or 6 year warranty ,regardless of brand or price you might need it.
Why, because today more than ever they are not designed to last then same amount of time
that the older models were, they were good for at least 10 to 15 years and the backlights were
easy to replace.
Todays panels are often glued togeather, so guess what happens when you try to prise them apart.
With Oleds you have to fit a complete panel costing as much as a new TV.
Many of the mass market models regardless of brand are made in Turkey, at least the parts are
available and are not too expensive.
The same can't be said of the Chinese brands, Hisense and TCL there is no technical backup
and spares are not always available,
If i was buying a new set with a free 5 year warranty, i would stick to Sony, and LG, Samsung are OK
if you keeping the brightness down otherwise the prism sheet splits and burns and is very expensive to replace.
Buy with your head and ignore the claims for peak brightness.

@X-boomer

This was a very useful catch up since I haven’t even looked at the big screen TV marketplace since I bought my Sony ZD9 in 2017.

@simonhunt7269

Great to see TPV getting the recognition outside the US for their excellent Philips OLEDs. And happy to confirm that Curry’s has JVC and I guess Vestel has them for the rest of Europe.

@robertkeefer1552

Panasonic plasma TV's were awesome.

@LeezahB

Sony, LG, Samsung, TLC, Hisense. Panasonic
