Great vid! Why not Luperon, D.R.? We jumped Mathewtown - Caicos - Luperon. Felt like millionaires in Luperon. Bought 250 enduro off the showroom floor for $1k, cruised all across the country to Santo Domingo. Hotels are $18 usd, out to dinner w/wife is $10. Beautiful, kind people! 6 months (hurricane season) mooring is $475 and get dinghy dock, bathrooms, shower and pool - bar - restaurant.❤

@ExtraordinaryHorizons

Your updates are gold,thanks for posting. We’re counting down the days until Extraordinary Horizons is ready to join the fleet!!

You’re an impressive young man. Not only are you intelligent , you’re inventive and take the initiative in less than fun conditions. Making the cog wheels on your 3-D printer, rigging up the wheel with bungees, repairing your sails-all of that is great, but what’s probably the best skill you have is not being afraid to ask for help and advice. Also, thank you for not covering your videos with soundtracks of music. I love music, but I watch your channel because we get to see and hear what you’re experiencing out there. It’s very peaceful and relaxing (of course not in bad weather) to hear the sounds of waves crashing, birds singing, and wind blowing. ❤️😊

@tf6534

Yesterday’s video was interesting and informative as usual. The highlight was to see the excitement and enthusiasm in your eyes and smile when you mocked it out of the park with your 3D printed wheels for you auto pilot.
Enjoyed the family videos of course. Sometimes nice to sail alone too. See you next week

Damon most see problems but you see solutions. I am so impressed at how you carry yourself and adapt and carry on. No mater what or where you go in life I think you will be successful.

@jefffreind7530

3D printer is a god send for you, Great job of making your own parts.

@bensteyn1974

Love it when Damon starts 3D-printing! :trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling:

@Adam_Gray

Why is it that every time I get back from vacation, I need a vacation? 😎 Indeed, Life is Good my friend 🤙🏼

@Bill_Russell_aka_Coolbreeze

So cool that you have the ability to create fixes with your 3D printer. Definitely a life saver and advantage. Most would have been totally screwed without that ability. I'm sure it was pretty nerve wracking at the time regardless. I'm always impressed with how many different things you're able to do considering there are so many people your age that can't even change a car tire 😂 Stay safe out there, I know you're going to enjoy Puerto Rico.

@richardruggiero9897

I love your repair ingenuity, your 3d printer fix was brilliant! Consider a CPT wheel autopilot designed for blue water boats, I just installed one on my 47’ and look forward to sea trials as soon as I fix the damage I sustained from a lightning strike. It was pretty cool experiencing 100 million volts while standing on deck, the 10k in damage, not so much. Happy sailing!

@RichWheeler-m4t

Great video Damon. You OUGHT to be proud of yourself and I'm glad you said that! Did I hear the faint sound of Sinatra singing "Young at Heart" during your late-night fishing adventure - VERY COOL! I keep watching your sub total and I am surprised it's stuck around 8.5K for the moment. I still think your channel will take off. You seem to get lots of comments (and all so positive) given your sub number. There must be a ratio of comments to subs that indicates a station is about to take off, but I don't know what it is. Fair winds, young man!

@dennisbeek6958

You're awesome dude. I really enjoyed watching your adventures and creativity.

@jeffreyhutchinsdo

Excellent episode! I’m excited to follow along on your journey.

@anthonycruz8385

Great job Captain Damon on making parts for the autopilot. My Dad was an engineer and a USAF fighter pilot so I appreciate your engenuity and resourcesfulness. My Dad loved racing his two sailing sloops at the Kaneohe Yacht Club in Hawaii. Like you he made a lot of the replacement parts for his racing sloops and this was way before 3d printers. He made mahogany ships wheels for both racing sloops by hand with no fasteners just dowel and peg construction very time consuming work. Great vid one of your best for iconic shots of the ocean and Rambler. I loved the shot at 32:50 nice. I was really impressed by your sheet to tiller set up. Wow looks like you might like some classic music too, learned something new about Captain Damon. What are some of you favorite choices on Damon's playlist.You have great taste in music. Keep living the Dream! YOLO

I assume the book "Dove" isn't about pigeons?
.
"Tired and Slap Happy"; that's a nice phrase!
.
Maybe the fish are Hoarders, like Bower Birds, and like to collect lures?

@gumotx

Ingenious problem solving skills you have, Damon! A sure sign of a young man who solves his own problems and gains self confidence!
God bless you!
