Your tricks are so simple, yet it takes a lot of creativity to even consider that you could do these effects with just a few clicks. If I still had to do power point presentations, this would be how I'd do it.

The next step to do that "slide-in from the left" is to simply select the newly added blur layer and the text, then group them, and then in the "effect" panel, select slide in from left. And that's it! You now have a nice blurred background with text that slides in from the left as you showcase your presentation.

the effect created isn't the one in the final showcase tho. The blur moves independently from the picture so it's an overlay instead of a blurred copy paste (idk how to explain this but basically the big orange blob should be sliding along but it's not)
