So so so grateful for technology when it does serve us like YouTube here, enabling me to connect and impact people to help them live their best, most fulfilled lives. I absolutely love reading your stories - thank you so much for sharing and interacting with each other. This comment section is so incredible - I can’t even put words to it! ❤

@Hanzika-x9m

My attention span is so bad that I started reading comments while the video was playing

@uditadey8159

Realisation hit hard when she mentioned technology is not the problem, you are the helpless pawn in control of technology, damn damn damn.

@snailbear5

the fact that i immediately put this to my watch later playlist right before she started talking about clicking away 😭

@KrKope

I have ADHD and one of the most helpful things I started doing was to consciously attach emotion to the things you do. Waiting in line? Think about how calm and unoccupied you feel at the moment. Doing homework? Imagine how proud and organised you would feel when you walk into class the next day. We humans crave emotional input and this will help you stay focused on the task. Instead of making everything about how productive you are, allow yourself to feel genuinely satisfied and be happier with the things you do. When you're reflecting on your bed and recalling everything you've done, it will also conclude your day in a positive mood.

I can add some ADHD tips:

1. Talk out loud and say what you are going to do and when.
2. Colour lists with markers. Hang them on the wall to not forget them. Out of sight, out of mind.
3. Put round green stickers on the task list whenever you did something for it. Doesnt mean its complete, does mean that you put effort into it and cann visually see the effort.
4. Set timers and challenge yourself to do the task in that time

@letizialorusso1950

"Don't skip or speed up this video" That felt weirdly personal and somehow perfectly timed 👀👀

@leilaminott2418

I didn’t realise what a terrible attention span I had until I realised I could barely sit through this video - but I’m going to try and use those habits to change and improve!!

@mariakatrinacamilleolivar3088

I am committing myself to:

1. Reading 5 books per month
2. Deep learning in medical school
3. Prioritizing restorative sleep
4. Minimize multitasking
5. Practicing mindfulness
6. Be intentional with my study time and schedule timeline
7. Active recall, teach it to others

@notVi4

As a child I used to be naturally smart and everyone told me I brightened up the room whenever I walked in but as I grew older, I realized I was not that smart anymore. I had to study more and my grades got worse. After a while of trying to improve, I mainly focused on schoolwork and even though I had a lot of trouble working myself up, I still made it. Now I finished 8th grade as the top student of my class and I am very proud of myself. I wish everybody a nice day and stay healthy ❤❤

@raislay

"No phone on bathroom" while I'm watching it there🙂

@ningurp281

I will focus more on studying and living every moment at its fullest. When I need to study, I study, when I’m playing, I’m playing.

@neha3879

I got to understand that how little my attention span is , while I am studying my brain starts making imaginary scenario that are never gonna happen , it makes it so hard to study and then without studying I start scrolling through my phone and that's how I waste my time , right now I just was scrolling in between my studies when I found this , I will definetly apply this in my life bcz there are so many things in life which I didn't live to the fullest and also I forget things easily and maybe it is bcz of me , I am just addicted to phone and I will try to reduce this bcz this is affecting my student life aswell I am not noticing the things around me . Thank you Amy , I will do my best ❤

@tess7758

After I deleted all of my other social medias, I started to notice that I not only used Youtube much more, the way I used it also changed. Quite often I'd interrupt an educational video with fastpaced music, because I had gotten bored. This prevents me from gaining the knowledge from these videos which I veru rarely watch till the end. So that's the first step I will be taking: watching longform content till the end, no distractions. Thank you for the amazing advice!

@mahura660

I realized I had a problem so so many times but tried to denied it, it actually sacares me doing nothing with my life, I truly want to be present in what I live. So I’m committed to minimize multitasking, be curious like a child and define no phone zones. Thank you community, I will try it but it is comforting to me to know I’m not alone.

Step 1: Don't watch comments while watching the vid
