That's a good friend right there. They're not lying or pretending. They'd tell you your flaws, not lie to you or talk behind your back. They wouldn't stick around if they don't like you, and they'd tell you on the spot when they want to end the friendship. Edit: thanks for the likes guys! I never got this many likes on this platform! Also, what I meant is I love the honesty in friendship. The comments say it is rude or mean, but I was appreciating the honesty in the friendship. Obviously being mean isn't being honest. I was talking about how honesty is essential, I would rather have a friend who would tell me my flaws than someone who would lie to me. Obviously being mean isn't the same as being honest. I don't know, the "my friend is sweet and kind all the time and all", screams "my friend is fake", to me. Of course, be honest, not be mean, don't get me wrong. Please don't judge, I had fake friends before, those who are too sweet, too kind who ended up being monsters behind my back, that's probably why I don't see the honesty here as bad. The pretending to be too sweet, too kind, is fake to me, friends tell each other their flaws, say their opinion, that's how I see friendship, almost like siblings relationship, not as overly exaggerated kindness or sweetness. Dude my friend does this where she’ll gracefully pull her perfume out of her bag (as if she has no intention of insulting me) sprays some on herself, then SIDE EYES MEEEE and says “do you want some?” LKKE GIRL. YES, BUT WHY YOU GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I STINK???? And sometimes she’ll just walk up to me and spray me with no warning lmfao.
