I was bullied in my early twenties once when I told people I did this. Ten years later I come across this video and see it's normal and doctors do it. Thanks for sharing because it reminded me those people were just immature and sexist.
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT IT DOES NOT GROW BACK THICKER I CAN FINALLY SHOW MY MOM THAT SHAVING MY FACE DOESNT MAKE IT WORSE💪
Im 51 I’m about to shave for the 1st time. I’m so excited I can’t wait to see how my face feels
I've been shaving my face for a few years. It DOES NOT grow back thicker or darker. Grows in as same peach fuzz. I love the way my face feels and the way my makeup goes on and looks afterwards.
I’ve always been scared to try this, as a dark hair/pale faced woman, I’d wax my upper lip and eyebrows. I was always thinking it would grow back thicker. I rarely wear makeup, but now I’m 50 and I’m going to start trying this to make my face moisturizer work its best. Thank you so much!!
I think the hair grows back myth comes from misunderstanding what happens. Before you shave, you have soft hairs that are thin on the ends. Also, your hairs are different lengths. When you shave, everything is the same length and the hairs are wider with sharp edges. It's understandable that people will say this is more hair because it can feel that way. I think if it were explained this way, people would be able to understand. Just saying "it doesn't" won't make a difference because it contradicts their lived experience.
This procedure is very personal and, thankfully, very optional. I can appreciate that many women will have good reason to do it. Maybe I’ll give it a shot, but at 65 I’ve never felt self conscious about peach fuzz. Thank you for this.
As a man I can say this lady has better technique than many men 😂.. total pro
Thanks for this! I've been shaving my face for a few years- there's nothing like the feeling of that smooooth skin! I have mature skin, and before I started shaving, I felt like no makeup, tinted moisturizer, etc. looked good- it all kind of made my skin look worse! Shaving gets rid of the peach fuzz and also exfoliates the dry dead skin cells that take so long to turn over at my age! Great video
I am 73 and have never heard about women shaving or dermaplaning their face. I have seen aestheticians over the years and no one ever mentioned this. Thanks for talking about this. I may go have a professional dermaplaning now.
I am 76 and shave my face just like she does. I only do it every few mos. but it's amazing. The hair grows back as peach fuzz it is not course or darker as you might think. I probably should do it more often perhaps once a week in fact, since I still work full time and want to look my best, I'm going to start doing it every week. Try it ladies you will not be disappointed.
Leaf Shaver now offers a Dermaplainer razor with replacement heads similar to their other razors that decreases the plastic being disposed.
Finally! Someone mentioned the treatment of peach fuzz on the face especially as you hit your 40s, 50s, and up. Strange things happen to hair in general after menopause, and part of my journey was an increase in peach fuzz. For me, I prefer to wash my face as usual (no triple washing for me), and I use a pretty, pink electric shaver. Afterward, I still get to see the fuzz when I clean out my razor. I do use isopropyl alcohol...to clean my shaver. I've not experienced any ingrown hair, and I don't have to spend $ on all those cleansers. Your skin is lovely btw. So's mine =D
Thank you for your video, I’m 54 with strawberry blonde hair have had the peach fuzz for ever. It’s always bothered me when wearing makeup. Thanks to you I’m going for it, I’m going to shave for the 1st time!!!
I am SO FUZZY! I have been petrified to try this out of fear of it coming back darker / thicker/ longer! Thank you so much for this video!!!!!!
This is the best instructional vid on shaving your face that I have ever seen. I already shave, but I learned from you that I need to modify my ways. Your helpful tips will ensure I have a much better outcome. Appreciate you and your expertise very much!
Took a selfie in the arizona desert sun and GIRL the way that sun highlighted every little peach fuzz and hair on my face i was mortified. It was then that I started dermaplaning my face once or twice a month! I never realized just how much fuzz I had on my face😳
I love comprehensive demos!!! More of these please!!
I’m happy to know I’m not the only one that shaves my face!😍
