For the reference, Citadel is usually the ultimate goal for uwaterloo students. Even the top students might only get an internship at Citadel in their last coop term. Joma got it in his second year, while I was still applying to no name companies. Imagine killing the beast titian when your peers are still learning to use the mobility gear
Me as a full time QA analyst listening to him saying its a shitty job for a college freshman: 💀
16:20 Joma colder than a Facebook human resource manager watching Tech Lead YouTube videos.
Be careful, you might be on the Facebook HR chopping block
It's incredible how much practical experience you get to have within a bachelor at University of Waterloo! 6 internships? Here in Italy you'd be lucky if the university allows you to get an internship for your thesis, once you're done with your exams because "at university theoretical knowledge is the #1 priority"... Guess nobody wonders why we're so much behind the US when it comes to tech..
Refusing that hug was truly the most alpha move.
The ending was so cute lol
16:20 she got friendzoned faster than speed of light.
I just want to say that I just found your video and you have motivated me and increased my interest in programming and in other computer science topics. love your vids. Keep making more content
Damn those are freaky good internships. Pretty much top tier internships for each year. How you went from citadel to fking buzzfeed is hilarious xD
I really don't know if this guy is really a software developer... he seems to be too cool and funny. Awkward ending with the hug: Yup this guy is legit.
Thumbnail. Game. Strong.
He fricking cut the video off to not tell he didn't get any offers ! The last part was gold. Let's do that again !
How do I turn Indian recruiter calls into actual job offers lol
Hey Jomaaa great video! I thought it was very interesting and informing. You should do more content like this where you show real steps you took to get to Silicon Valley - and the process of landing super competitive jobs. I know about your course... so maybe this would be more of a retrospective look at how you got there and more tips!! Also, I'm glad you're looking more happy and are back on YouTube.
Kinda warm my heart a bit when you appreciated a teacher for her work.
Joma: Idk anything about programming in my freshman year Also Joma: gets an interview at Palantir in his freshman year
"Cali or bust" lol Sounds like living on the edge.
It's good that you shared all your job offers and rejections when you're coming up in the field, it's such a motivation because most people won't show that stuff
