at 4:57 you will not see most of the objects under mesh. to fix this, go to edit in the top bar, preferences, add-ons, and search "Add mesh: Extra Objects" and tick it.

Awesome video, it definitely helped a lot. I'm trying to move over to Blender after using Maya for years and it's been a little hard for me to get used to the controls and interface since it's so wildly different from Maya. Basic navigation is so important! Thanks!
