I just discovered your channel and am currently binge-watching. I am having to buy new clothes for my new mid-life figure, and wanting to make wise choices. Thank you for your "no tucked shirts" realism. Also, the fashion industry is predatory, and young women can be fickle and gullible (perfect prey). We older women are wise to the ruse and want quality, classic chic that flatter our individual body types.

I have had this situation happen so often with my daughter...not realizing we were together, salespeople and store managers have literally walked away from me to go after my daughter. I worked in corporate then and I used to think that the salespeople weren't very bright 'cause we Mamas are the ones with the big money😊

I call the fashion industry 'big fashion' and think of it the same as 'big pharma'. The older and wiser I get, the less I trust either. I loved what you had to say here, Valerie!

Listening to you, i came to the conclusion that at 83, my best feature is my smile! Not that I feel uncomfortable about my appearance, but age does change all of us!😊

I can hear the anger in your voice re the fashion industry and I feel it too. Being petite adds another layer of frustration since so many clothes drown me. I enjoy seeing how you put things together and take inspiration from that.

We don't need the fashion industry to acknowledge us. We can take care of ourselves and make our own choices. Recently, I decided that only my loved ones and God matter when it comes to acknowledgement. God knows me and He loves me!

Finally! I'm exhausted with tucking tops, half tuck, french tuck, etc. I just want to feel comfortable, classy and not look frumpy. This is achievable. Your vlogs have been super helpful.

I shop with my granddaughters. They are 21, 17, and 15. The sales clerks will zone in on them like a bomber in the war. They are beautiful and stylish and they think they can manipulate them. Once when shopping, I was so proud of my oldest granddaughter. There is a particular brand she loves and the woman showed her some things. One thing she tried on she liked and it was quite pricey and not something she would wear often. Her response to the sales woman was, "I can't justify buying this because price per wear it is just not what I need to spend my money on at this time." She is willing to spend for something she really wants, but I was happy to see her make grown-up decisions. The woman totally ignored me and I would have probably bought the item for her. They never learn who holds the purse strings.

I keep seeing women our age (I’m 60) shouldn’t wear capris. I am never giving up my denim capris, I love them. My philosophy is: if peeps don’t like the way I look, they don’t hafta look at me. Keep the great vids coming ❤

Thank you for your very clear perspective on fashion. I am a 66 year old woman listening to your videos from Australia. Thoroughly enjoy them and have learnt so much from your advice and outfits. We have been ignored and become invisible for too long...we might be older but are still gorgeous and have much to offer
