@mrmacwa

So many of my creations are quite utilitarian. I admire artful pieces, but don't take the time to build them. A tool should put a smile on your face every time you pick it up, and this one obviously does! The build is an inspiration! The video is well produced. I will admit that I generally don't watch complete videos of this type. But I enjoyed yours start to finish. Can't wait to see what else you do! Thank you.

@biscuittreewoodworks

Awesome mallet! Perfect for woodworking AND home defense!

@secksysequin2580

Odd that you used "sneaked" at the start there. My hubby and I were trying to figure out if sneak is a regular or irregular verb just last night. Turns out it's irregular making the past tense "snuck". I only mention it because of the coincidence of timing. It's not meant as a criticism.

@JeremyP-121

Must have been my recent binge of synth wave that brought this to my feed, whilst all my other high end wood working subs did not. But for that, you have earned my subscription. Solid 👊

@petermurphy9669

Because most people want a practical tool as opposed to creating YouTube content
However as an art project rather than a tool you made a nice job of it

@bplandon1311

You are indeed a true craftsman. This humble woodworker is in awe of your talent and patience. You make it look so easy to spend days building something that will, in all likelihood, have the s*** beaten out of it over the years. I salute you for your tenacity and talent.

@jimrosson6702

What a beautiful mallet and a great idea putting the punch in the center is a great idea. Thanks for sharing

@Disconcertedfox

I love the style of your videos! I can hesr the power tools without having it be jarring, and the close up shots make it very easy for me to see what you're doing. As someone who is very sensitive to sound, your audio mixing is perfect for me, thank you so much!!

@quinncykaluzniak5429

this world is full of amazing tools, made from everything, from scrap and trash to finely made components, mechanisms and computing systems. the best can master some, and can make use of all

@jasonbissonnette2331

As a few others have commented, a true work of art. Please don't use this mallet and make yourself a daily user! Just kidding...use it with pride and I look forward to seeing it in future videos.

@danielthompson3205

Saw this used on the spiral table vid.
Then it showed up at end..
Def Gunna watch this now

@jonrhaider

What a work of art, and very clever to have a smaller tool that tucks away inside it. Maybe a little twist-lock action to prevent a deadly projectile.

@Celticshade

i absolutely agree with you on the hybrid usage of hand tools and power tools. some times theres just things that will be done faster and more accurately with power tools, some times you need to grab a hand tool to do something you cant quite do with the power tools at your disposable. they each have their uses for making your life easier and making a project be the best it can be.

@ahill209

A nicer mallet than I've ever made! Also a tour de force using at least 26 different tools by my count: Table Saw, Jointer, Planer, Miter Saw, Band Saw, F-Clamps, Quick Grip Bar Clamp, Ruler, Combination Square, Hammer, Marking Gauge, Dovetail Saw, Chisel, Sandpaper, Marking Knife, Table Router, Hand Held Router, Mallet, Scratch Awl, Drum Sander, Instrument Maker's Hand Plane, Jack Plane, Scraper, Drill Press, Machinist's/Engineer's Square, Cordless Drill, Belt Sander.

@fredvanderlinden8908

The 008 James Thor Hammer. It was exciting to watch this. Thx for sparing.

@jweaver6862

It is OBVIOUS to me now after watching the videos of your "Spyrograph Table and your " Wood Mallet/punch" ! That the artistry that you employ is that of a Luthuer of VERY VERY ZHugh standards! Bravo Cory, BRAVO! For ne personally there's nothing more enjoyable than to watch a Master Craftsman at work. Thanks 🎉

@dougthomson5544

Now, I am more than happy that you found fulfillment with this project and that is good. BUT you asked a very specific question, “Why Doesn’t Everyone Build Mallets This Way?” My answer: I don’t build them this way because it is a mallet. It is a tool meant to pound, tap, convince, etc., things. Beauty is absolutely meaningless. Complexity is of no utility. Hell, I can make a very efficient mallet from a suitably sized hardwood limb in very short order and it has the handle 100% integrated. 😂

@seanpatterson1609

This was a well executed project and video. I appreciate your style. Thank you.

@theRingleman15

Your commentary on hybrid woodworking alone got you a new subscription. Excellent video, excellent production value. Very happy that I stumbled on your channel.

@nickp3173

The mallet of all mallets! Awesome job. I'd be afraid to use it lol
