August and September are very hot, but there are fewer crowds, and many festivals take place, so it can be a fun time to visit. You also have the option of going to cooler places like Karuizawa or Kamakura. July and February might not be the best times to go.

@KitoAkari1612

I love cicada. My country only has them at the end of April til late June.
I’m a teacher so cicada sound means summer is coming.

@genericinternetmale14

I prefer cold weather. Cold winters and rain do not bother me at all.
The summers in Japan are stifling 🥵

@stevegonzales527

“Don’t come on these months” goes on to list the whole year

@MsCatwoman13

I plan to go in July. I lived in DC for 13 years, so I’m ok with the cicadas and humidity. Looking forward to less crowds and summer festivals, and of course the wonderful people of Japan.🌸

@Timothy-g1w

Its OK to visit Japan anytime of the year. I lived there for almost 2 years. I loved it.

@xmvirus202

I love cicadas, they don't bite or sting and you can pick them up and they will stay on your finger and let you pet them ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@محمدجباری-ث1ر

Blossom 🌸 season is awesome 👌 👏 👍.

@brianclark4040

I live in the DC metro area. Sounds like home. Hot, stuffy summers ☑️ Rains from hurricane season late summer to early fall ☑️ cicadas chirping all summer ☑️ Cherry Blossoms gifted by Japan ☑️

@Cookiies_cream

When I was young my brother had a make a wish to go to Japan!! And my whole family went there for spring break 🌱🌷🌸

@Lookito

the sound of cicadas just sound like any hot day in an anime so I think I'll be fine this summer XD

@Guardian016

Cicadas make the city feel extremely hot, but they magically add charm in the countryside. If you visit a Shinto shrine surrounded by the sound of cicadas, it's another world.

@le_th_

Cicadas are the least problematic thing in Japan in summer. It's the most stifling heat and humidity that ruins the trip, not the sound of cicadas.

@therealdrecu

The sound of cicadas is actually one of those iconic things i really miss about japan - loved it when hiking with a friend last year :')

@LestatandBerial

I’m heading to Japan in April right as the blossoms will be blooming. Thats actually the big reason I picked that date a year and a half ago. I can’t wait

@Kenji-jn1qh

Love cicadas, it reminds me of my time in Japan when I was a child

@legoboy-ox2kx

I love the sounds of Cicadas and Crickets, it's soothing to me.

@ojp4808

I grew up in Auckland and I now live in Melbourne, so Cicadas and the weather won’t be a problem.

@gglaw1994

The insects are every where during summer even in Hong Kong or China

@d0ubl3st3p

As someone who went to Japan in november, the weather was perfect
